Premiering on Thursday, April 4 is the new NBC drama Hannibal based on the characters from Thomas Harris’ classic novels and developed by Bryan Fuller. The show’s cast includes Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Hannibal Lecter, as well as Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas, Eddie Izzard, Gina Torres, Molly Shannon, Gillian Anderson, Ellen Greene and Chelan Simmons. Brian Reitzell (Lost in Translation, Stranger Than Fiction, Boss) has composed the series’ original score. Check out our previous news article for more information about the project. Jeff Toyne Scoring ‘Rogue’
Jeff Toyne is scoring DIRECTV’s first original series Rogue. The drama is created by Matthew Parkhill (The Caller) and stars Thandie Newton as a morally and emotionally-conflicted undercover detective who is tormented by the possibility that her own actions contributed to her son’s death. Marton Csokas, Ian Hart, Claudia Ferri, Joshua Sasse, Jonathan Holmes, Sarah Jeffrey, Ian Tracey, Jarod Joseph, Matthew Beard and Martin Donovan are co-starring. Brian Kirk (Game of Thrones, Boardwalk Empire) has directed the first episode. Nick Hamm (The Hole, Godsend, Killing Bono) is executive producing the project for Greenroom Entertainment, alongside John Morayniss and Michael Rosenberg for eOne and Steven Marrs.
2011 Summer Television Music Roundup (Part 2)

FX:
The only new show this summer on FX is the comedy Wilfred. The show stars Elijah Wood as a depressed and unemployed worker who imagines seeing a man in a dog costume. Jason Gann and Fiona Gubelmann are co-starring and guest stars include Ed Helms, Chris Klein and Rashida Jones. Jim Dooley (Pushing Daisies, Obsessed) is providing the score for the show. Wilfred is based on an Australian series with the same title and is adapted by David Zuckerman (Family Guy, American Dad). Randall Einhorn (The Office, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) directed the pilot. The show’s first season of 13 episodes is currently airing every Thursday night on FX.
