Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Enola Holmes, Steve Jobs, Birds of Prey) and Adem Ilhan ((Avenue 5, In the Loop, The Ballad of Wallis Island, The Beautiful Game) have teamed up to score the new HBO original documentary series The Mortician. The show is directed by Joshua Rofé (Sasquatch, Bob Ross: Happy Accidents, Betrayal & Greed) and centers on the Lamb Funeral Home in Pasadena that hid behind a façade of decency and propriety to take advantage of loved ones at their most vulnerable moments in the early 1980s. The 3-parter features interviews with families of the funeral home’s victims, former employees, as well as David Sconce, scion of the Lamb family, newly released from prison, who tells his side of the story.

Daniel Pemberton Co-Scoring Ari Aster’s ‘Eddington’
Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Enola Holmes, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Steve Jobs, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Birds of Prey) is contributing music to the upcoming contemporary western/comedy Eddington. He will be sharing scoring credit with Bobby Krlic who previously scored director Ari Aster’s last two features. The film is written and directed by Aster (Hereditary, Midsommar) and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Emma Stone, Luke Grimes, Clifton Collins Jr., Deirdre O’Connell, Amélie Hoeferle, Micheal Ward and William Belleau. The movie set in the titular New Mexico tow centers on a standoff between a small-town sheriff and mayor that sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor.

The film is directed by Tom Kingsley (Black Pond) and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, Nick Mohammed, Ian McShane, Sonoya Mizuno, Paddy Considine and Sean Bean. The movie follows an aspiring comedian who gets offered the role of a lifetime when an undercover police officer asks her – together with two of her improv students – to infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals.

Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the National Geographic documentary Endurance. The drama, which follows a retired archaeologist who tries to solve the crime when murder strikes the quiet riverside town of Marlow and begins to uncover a series of puzzling clues and comes to rely on the help of other local women to investigate, premiered earlier this year in the UK on U & Drama and is making its U.S. debut on PBS as part of the Masterpiece series.
Premiering on Wednesday, October 30, is the Netflix original film Time Cut directed by Hannah Macpherson and starring Madison Bailey, Antonia Gentry, Griffin Gluck, Michael Shanks, Rachael Crawford, Samuel Braun, Megan Best, Jordan Pettle, Kataem O’Connor and Sydney Sabiston.
