La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1998 action thriller Hard Rain directed by Mikael Salomon and starring Christian Slater, Morgan Freeman, Randy Quaid, Minnie Driver and Ed Asner. The album features the expanded score from the film composed by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Hurricane, Sinister, Drag Me to Hell, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Ghost Rider) and performed by the London Metropolitan Orchestra, including previously unreleased music and bonus tracks. Opening in select theaters is the sci-fi thriller Synchronic directed by Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead and starring Anthony Mackie, Jamie Dornan and Katie Aselton. Jimmy LaValle (aka The Album Leaf) (The Endless, Spring, The F**k-It List) has composed the film’s original music. A soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score will be announced soon. The movie, which follows two New Orleans paramedics as they stumble upon a bizarre plot involving a series of drug-related deaths, premiered at last year’s Toronto Film Festival and is being distributed by Well Go USA Entertainment.

Hollywood Records will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller The Empty Man. The album features the film’s original music composed by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Ghost Rider, Sinister, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Entrapment, The Shipping News, The Hurricane) and Lustmord (First Reformed, Evolve). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, October 23 and will be available on Amazon (and other digital music stores), where you can also check out audio clips. The Empty Man is written and directed by David Prior and stars James Badge Dale, Marin Ireland, Stephen Root, Ron Canada, Robert Aramayo, Joel Courtney and Sasha Frolova. The movie is based on the graphic novel by Cullen Bunn and follows a retired cop who investigates the disappearnace of a group of teens from a small Midwestern town and discovers a secretive group and their attempts to summon a horrific, mystical entity.
‘Sliver’ Score Album Announced
La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere release of the original score from the 1993 thriller Sliver directed by Phillip Noyce and starring Sharon Stone, William Baldwin and Tom Berenger. The album features the original music from the Paramount Pictures production composed by Academy Award winner Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Aviator, The Silence of the Lambs, Hugo). Also included are four bonus tracks of additional music by Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Hurricane, Drag Me to Hell). Christopher Young and Brian & Caleb Chan Scoring Quibi’s ’50 States of Fright’
Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Ghost Rider, The Hurricane, The Grudge) and Brian & Caleb Chan have contributed original music to the Quibi anthology series 50 States of Fright. The show executive produced by Sam Raimi (Spider-Man, The Evil Dead) & Debbie Liebling (South Park, PEN15) explores stories based on urban legends from Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Oregon, and Washington. The first episode, The Golden Arm, is co-written and directed by Raimi and stars Rachel Brosnahan, Travis Fimmel and John Marshall Jones. Other episodes include Red Rum directed by Daniel Goldhaber and starring Christina Ricci and Jacob Batalon, America’s Largest Ball of Twine directed by Yoko Okumura and starring Ming-Na Wen, Almost There written and directed by Scott Beck & Bryan Woods and starring Taissa Farmiga and Ron Livingston, as well as Grey Cloud Island written and directed by Adam Schindler & Brian Netto and starring Asa Butterfield.

‘Pet Sematary’ Soundtrack Details
Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Pet Sematary. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Shipping News, Drag Me to Hell, Ghost Rider). Also included is Starcrawler’s cover of the Ramones’ title song from the 1989 film adaptation. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 5 and will be available to download here. A physical version is in the works from Waxwork Records. Pet Sematary is directed by Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz and John Lithgow. The movie is based on Stephen King’s classic novel and follows a young family who, after moving to a rural home, discover they are living next to a creepy pet cemetery endowed with powers to reanimate whatever is buried on its grounds.
‘The Reincarnation of Peter Proud’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1975 horror mystery drama The Reincarnation of Peter Proud directed by J. Lee Thompson and starring Michael Sarrazin, Jennifer O’Neill, Margot Kidder and Cornelia Sharpe. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Jerry Goldsmith (Star Trek: The Motion Picture, The Omen, Patton, Planet of the Apes, L.A. Confidential, Chinatown). The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes) and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, Jeté Laurence and Hugo & Lucas Lavoie. The movie follows a young family who, after moving to a rural home, discover they are living next to a creepy pet cemetery endowed with powers to reanimate whatever is buried on its grounds. Jeff Buhler (Nightflyers, Jacob’s Ladder) wrote the screenplay.
