La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack album for the 1992 horror sequel Pet Sematary Two directed by Mary Lambert and starring Edward Furlong, Anthony Edwards and Clancy Brown. The album features the film’s original music composed by Mark Governor (Mindwarp). Also included are the Governor-penned original songs Love Never Dies performed by Traci Lords and Fading Away performed by Jan King & more. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this week:
Opening in most theaters is the superhero movie Shazam! directed by David F. Sandberg and starring Zachary Levi, Mark Strong, Jack Dylan Grazer, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Ian Chen, Jovan Armand, Faithe Herman, Cooper Andrews and Marta Milans. The film’s original music is composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. ‘Pet Sematary’ Soundtrack Details
Paramount Music will release a soundtrack album for the horror thriller Pet Sematary. The album features the film’s original music composed by Golden Globe nominee Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Shipping News, Drag Me to Hell, Ghost Rider). Also included is Starcrawler’s cover of the Ramones’ title song from the 1989 film adaptation. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 5 and will be available to download here. Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Ghost Rider, Entrapment, The Grudge) has been tapped to score the upcoming new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes) and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, Jeté Laurence and Hugo & Lucas Lavoie. The movie follows a young family who, after moving to a rural home, discover they are living next to a creepy pet cemetery endowed with powers to reanimate whatever is buried on its grounds. Jeff Buhler (Nightflyers, Jacob’s Ladder) wrote the screenplay.
Elliot Goldenthal’s Expanded ‘Pet Sematary’ Score Released
La-La Land Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1989 horror thriller Pet Sematary directed by Mary Lambert, based on Stephen King’s best-selling novel and starring Dale Midkiff, Denise Crosby and Fred Gwynne. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the movie composed by Elliot Goldenthal (Frida, Interview with a Vampire, Alien 3). The soundtrack features over 30 minutes of previously unreleased music from the Paramount Pictures production and also includes alternate tracks and source cues.
