Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1973 comedy thriller Shamus directed by Buzz Kulik and starring Burt Reynolds, Dyan Cannon, John Ryan, Joe Santos, Giorgio Tozzi and Ron Weyand. The album features the complete original score from the Columbia Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Jerry Goldsmith (The Omen, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Planet of the Apes, Chinatown, Patton, L.A. Loma Vista Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the Starz original series Run the World. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by jazz pianist/record producer Robert Glasper (The Photograph, Miles Ahead) & Derrick Hodge. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, June 1 and will be available to stream/download here. Run the World is created by Leigh Davenport and stars Bresha Webb, Amber Stevens West, Corbin Reid, Andrea Bordeaux, Tonya Pinkins, Erika Alexander, Stephen Bishop, Tosin Morohunfola, Jay Walker and Nick Sagar. Plaza Mayor Company will release a soundtrack album for Nick Simon’s Untitled Horror Movie (UHM). The album features the film’s original music composed by Nima Fakhrara (Becky, The Signal, Alone, The Pyramid, The Girl in the Photographs, Detroit: Become Human). The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 18, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A vinyl edition is also in the works. Untitled Horror Movie (UHM) is co-written and directed by Simon and stars Claire Holt, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Luke Baines (who also co-wrote the screenplay), Katherine McNamara, Darren Barnet and Tim Granaderos. The movie follows a group of Hollywood actors who learn that their TV show is on the brink of cancellation and – in order to save their careers – decide to shoot their own horror movie, only to unintentionally summoning a spirit with an affinity for violence. The series follows a group of neighborhood pets and stray animals as they work through their issues inside and outside their therapy group. Premiering on Thursday, June 3, is the British TV series We Are Lady Parts created by Nida Manzoor and starring Anjana Vasan, Sarah Kameela Impey, Faith Omole, Juliette Motamed, Lucie Shorthouse, Zaqi Ismail and Aiysha Hart. Manzoor also co-wrote the show’s original songs with Shez Manzoor, Sanya Manzoor and Benjamin Fregin. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack EP featuring six songs from the show last week. Also premiering on Thursday is the second season of the Paramount+ original series Why Women Kill created by Marc Cherry and starring Allison Tolman, Nick Frost, Lana Parrilla, Jordane Christie, B.K. Cannon, Matthew Daddario and Veronica Falcón. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, The Island, Pain & Gain, Deepwater Horizon, Skyscraper, Desperate Housewives, Ender’s Game) has composed the original music of the new season.
