Opening in theaters nationwide is the thriller Old written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Gael García Bernal, Vicky Krieps, Rufus Sewell, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Ken Leung, Abbey Lee, Aaron Pierre, Embeth Davidtz, Eliza Scanlen, Alex Wolff, Emun Elliott and Thomasin McKenzie. The film’s original music is composed by Trevor Gureckis (Servant, The Goldfinch, Voyagers, Bloodline). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song by Shyamalan’s daughter Saleka. Also opening nationwide is the action adventure Snake Eyes: G.I. Joe Origins directed by Robert Schwentke and starring Henry Golding, Andrew Koji, Samara Weaving, Úrsula Corberó, Haruka Abe, Takehiro Hira and Iko Uwais. Martin Todsharow (The Captain, Tattoo, Friend Request, Desert Flower, Head Full of Honey) has composed the film’s original music. Paramount Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today and a CD version will be announced by La-La Land Records soon. Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Set It Up, Why We Hate, Step, Paris Can Wait, Underground) has composed the original score for the new Netflix original film Resort to Love. The movie is directed by Steven Tsuchida (Life-Size 2) and stars Christina Milian, Jay Pharoah, Sinqua Walls, Tymberlee Hill, Jeryl Prescott Gallien, Christiani Pitts, Karen Obilom, Alexander Hodge, T.J. Power, Sylvaine Strike and Kayne Lee Harrison. The romantic comedy follows a singer reeling from a broken engagement and career meltdown who takes a gig at a swanky island resort, where her ex-fiancé happens to be getting married. Sumerian Records has released a soundtrack album for the Amazon original series Paradise City. The album features a selection of the songs from the show’s first season, including original tracks by Machine Gun Kelly & Travis Barker, The Mavens, Lilith Czar & Starbenders and The Flux. ‘Schmigadoon!’ Episode 3 Soundtrack Album Released

Milan Records has released the third soundtrack for the Apple TV+ original series Schmigadoon! The album features the original songs from the third episode of the show composed by Cinco Paul (Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax), as well as three score cues written by Christopher Willis (The Death of Stalin, Veep, The Personal History of David Copperfield). ‘Cobra Kai’ Wax-Off Soundtrack EP Released

Madison Gate Records has released a new soundtrack EP for the Netflix original series Cobra Kai. The 4-track EP features four extended versions of score cues from the show’s first and seasons composed by Leo Birenberg (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, PEN15, Son of Zorn) & Zach Robinson (Impractical Jokers: The Movie, Die Hart). The tracks have previously only been released on Mondo’s 3-disc vinyl set, which was announced earlier this year. The EP is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other digital music services. Also listen to all tracks after the jump. ‘Dune’ Soundtracks Release Schedule Announced

WaterTower Music has announced three separate album releases of music from and in celebration of the new film adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune by Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer (The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Inception, Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar). Coming out on September 3 is the digital album The Dune Sketchbook (Music from the Soundtrack), which is comprised of extended, immersive musical explorations of composer’s Dune film score, to be released in Standard and Dolby Atmos Music configurations. Coming out on September 17 is the digital album Dune (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), which features Zimmer’s Dune film score and will also be released in both Standard and Dolby Atmos Music configurations. The album features the movie’s original music composed by Dascha Dauenhauer (Berlin Alexanderplatz, Glück, Jibril). First Tracks from Hans Zimmer’s ‘Dune’ Score Released

WaterTower Music has released first two tracks from the soundtrack for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune. Available to stream/download now as a digital single on all major digital music platforms are Paul’s Dream and Ripples in the Sand composed by Hans Zimmer (Inception, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, The Lion King, Rain Man, Interstellar, Pirates of the Caribbean). Also listen to both tracks after the jump. The label has previously released Zimmer’s Eclipse cover from the movie’s first trailer last year. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s first season composed by Sherri Chung (Riverdale, Batwoman, Blindspot, The Lost Husband, Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase). Also included is the song Two Worlds performed by David Choi. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 23 (visit Amazon or any other major digital music service to stream/download the album). The label has previously released the composer’s main title theme as a digital single earlier this year. Kung Fu is developed by Christina M. Millennium Media Records will release a soundtrack album for the action comedy Jolt. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, The King’s Man, Peter Rabbit, DuckTales, Money Monster, Free Birds). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, July 23 and will be available on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Jolt is directed by Tanya Wexler and stars Kate Beckinsale, Bobby Cannavale, Laverne Cox, Stanley Tucci and Jai Courtney. The movie follows a bouncer with a slightly murderous anger-management problem that she controls with the help of an electrode-lined vest she uses to shock herself back to normalcy whenever she gets homicidal who goes on a revenge-fueled rampage to find the killer of her boyfriend after he is murdered.
