Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1975 action thriller The Eiger Sanction directed by Clint Eastwood and starring Eastwood himself, George Kennedy, Vonetta McGee and Jack Cassidy. The 2-CD set features the expanded original score from the Universal Pictures production composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Jaws, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial), including the world premiere release of the complete score on the first disc and a remastered version of the original soundtrack album, as well as bonus tracks on the second disc. Genevieve Vincent (The Broken Hearts Gallery, Modern Art) has been tapped to score the new Fox drama Fantasy Island. The show is developed by Liz Craft & Sarah Fain (The 100, Lie to Me) based on the classic TV series of the same title created by Gene Levitt and stars Roselyn Sanchez, Kiara Barnes and John Gabriel Rodriquez. Among the guest stars of the first season are Bellamy Young, Dave & Odette Annable, Leslie Jordan, Laura Leighton, Josie Bissett and Daphne Zuniga. The series takes place at a luxury resort, where literally any fantasy requested by guests is fulfilled, although they rarely turn out as expected, and will tell stories about people who arrive with dreams and desires and depart enlightened and transformed through the magical realism of Fantasy Island.
