The details of the soundtrack album for the animated sequel Hotel Transylvania: Transformania have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Mothersbaugh (Thor: Ragnarok, The LEGO Movie, The Royal Tenenbaums, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, The Mitchells vs. The Machines). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 14 by Sony Classical and will be available to stream/download here. The label has previously released a soundtrack featuring selections of the composer’s scores from the first three installments in the animated franchise. Geneva Club & Roc Nation Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original film The Harder They Fall. The album features the Academy Award-shortlisted original score from the movie composed by the film’s co-writer/director/producer Jeymes Samuel (aka The Bullitts). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 14 Visit Amazon or any other major digital music services to stream/download the album. The labels have previously released a separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the western (including the Oscar-shortlisted Guns Go Bang co-written by Samuel) last fall. Variety is reporting that Laura Karpman (Lovecraft Country, Set It Up, Step, Paris Can Wait, Why We Hate, Underground) has signed on to score Marvel Studios’ upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman, Little Woods) and stars Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel, as well as Zawe Ashton. Earlier this month, Aska Matsumiya (Skate Kitchen, Bruised, I’m Your Woman, Betty, Selah and the Spades) has recorded her score for the upcoming documentary Phoenix Rising. The film is directed by Amy Berg (Deliver Us from Evil, West of Memphis, The Case Against Adnan Syed) and follows actress and activist Evan Rachel Wood and the coalition she builds at The Phoenix Act, tracking the political and community focus the actor has established in the aftermath of her experience and trauma as a domestic violence survivor. The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) today revealed the longlists for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2022. This longlisting round was introduced last year resulting in three rounds of voting. Round One voting, which took place from December 10 to January 4 produced the longlists in all categories announced today.Every category in this round was voted on by a craft chapter, opt-in chapter or jury, with the exception of Best Film which was voted for by all film voting members.
