Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Sinister, The Hurricane, The Shipping News) has been hired to score the upcoming Apple TV+ original series Echo 3. The show is written by Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty) based on the Keshet Broadcasting series When Heroes Fly created by Omri Givon and inspired by Amir Gutfreund’s novel and stars Luke Evans, Michiel Huisman, Jessica Ann Collins and Elizabeth Anweis. The 10-part drama is set in South America against the explosive backdrop of a secret war and revolves around a brilliant young scientist who goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border and follows her brother and her husband as they struggle to find her. Dubois Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Lancaster. The album features the film’s original music composed by Chris Roe (Armstrong, Trigger Point, After Love, Mission Control: The Unsung Heroes of Apollo, Spitfire, Death of a Gentleman). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Lancaster is directed by David Fairhead & Ant Palmer and tells the story of the iconic World War II bomber told through the words of the last surviving crew members, remastered archive material and aerial footage of the RAF’s last airworthy Lancaster. Premiering tomorrow, June 6, is the HBO limited series Irma Vep created and directed by Olivier Assayas based on his 1996 movie of the same name and starring Alicia Vikander, Vincent Macaigne, Jeanne Balibar, Lars Eidinger, Devon Ross, Vincent Lacoste, Adria Arjona, Nora Hamzawi, Carrie Brownstein, Byron Bowers and Tom Sturridge. The show’s original music is composed by Thurston Moore (Heavy). Premiering on Wednesday, June 8, is Marvel Studios’ Disney+ original series Ms. Marvel developed by Bisha K. First Songs from ‘P-Valley’ Season 2 Soundtrack Released

Lionsgate Records has released the first songs from the second season of the Starz original series P-Valley. Available to stream/download now are the tracks Distance (P-Valley Remix) performed by by Jucee Froot feat. A Boogie Wit da Hoodie and When I Get Out performed by J. Alphonse Nicholson as featured in the first episode of Season 2. Also listen to both songs after the jump. More songs from the new season will be released over the next couple of weeks and a full soundtrack album is expected to come out later this summer. Opening in around 800 U.S. theaters this weekend is the sci-fi horror movie Crimes of the Future written and directed by David Cronenberg and starring Viggo Mortensen, Léa Seydoux, Kristen Stewart, Scott Speedman, Don McKellar, Welket Bungué, Yorgos Pirpassopoulos, Nadia Litz, Tanaya Beatty and Lihi Kornowski. The film’s original music is composed by Howard Shore (The Lord of the Rings, The Aviator, The Silence of the Lambs, Hugo). Howe Records will release a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score. Also opening semi-wide is the thriller Watcher directed by Chloe Okuno and starring Maika Monroe, Karl Glusman and Burn Gorman. Nathan Halpern (The Rider, Swallow, One Percent More Humid, Minding the Gap, In the Same Breath) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release.
