The full details of the first soundtrack album for the Amazon original series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have been revealed. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s first season composed by Emmy Award winner Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Outlander, 10 Cloverfield Lane, Battlestar Galactica, The Walking DeadHappy Death Day). Also included is the main title theme by Academy Award winner Howard Shore who previously scored the The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 19 and will be available to stream on Amazon (featuring two Amazon Music exclusive tracks, Find the Light and The Promised King) and any other major digital music services. Amazon Content Services has released the new theme from Prime Video’s coverage of Thursday Night Football. The theme is written by Emmy Award-nominated composer Pinar Toprak (Captain Marvel, The Lost City, StargirlUs AgainKrypton, McMillions, The AngelFortnite) and is now available to stream/download on Amazon. Marco Beltrami (3:10 to Yuma, Logan, Scream, A Quiet Place), Buck Sanders (The Hurt Locker, Ford v Ferrari, Warm Bodies) & Brandon Roberts (Chaos Walking, Motherland: Fort Salem, Underwater) have teamed up to score the new AMC+ animated series Pantheon. The show is created by Craig Silverstein (Nikita, Terra Nova) and features the voices of Daniel Dae Kim, Katie Chang, Paul Dano, Rosemarie DeWitt, Taylor Schilling, Aaron Eckhart, Ron Livingston, Chris Diamantopoulos, Raza Jaffrey and William Hurt. The sci-fi drama is based on a collection of short stories by Ken Liu and centers on a bullied teen who receives mysterious help from a stranger, revealed to be her recently deceased father whose consciousness has been uploaded to the Cloud following an experimental destructive brain scan. Dave Palmer is the composer of the upcoming comedy drama The Greatest Beer Run Ever. The film is directed by Peter Farrelly (Green Book, Dumb and Dumber) and stars Zac Efron, Russell Crowe, Jake Picking and Will Ropp. The movie is based on the book of the same title by Joanna Molloy & John “Chickie” Donohue and tells the true story of a merchant seaman who, in 1967, accepted a bet to personally deliver a case of beer from New York to his army buddies in Vietnam. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Tim Morrish (Code 404, Pili) & Jessica Jones (The Tinder Swindler, The Surgeon’s Cut, Reclaiming Amy). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, August 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Red Rose is written by Paul & Michael Clarkson and stars Amelia Clarkson, Isis Hainsworth, Natalie Blair, Ellis Howard, Natalie Gavin and Ali Kahn. The 8-parter follows a group of teenagers whose friendships are infiltrated by the Red Rose app, which blooms on their smartphones, threatening them with dangerous consequences if they don’t meet its demands. Composer Brian Reitzell (Stranger Than Fiction, Friday Night Lights, Beginners, Relic) is reteaming with director David Slade (Hard Candy) on the upcoming fantasy horror thriller Dark Harvest. The film is based on Norman Partridge’s 2007 novel of the same title and stars Casey Likes, E’myri Crutchfield, Jeremy Davies, Elizabeth Reaser and Luke Kirby. The movie is set in a small Midwestern town, in which every fall a supernatural specter makes its way toward the town’s church, where gangs of teenage boys await their chance to confront the legendary nightmare in an annual harvest rite of life and death.
