La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1997 historical drama Amistad directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Morgan Freeman, Djimon Hounsou, Anthony Hopkins, Matthew McConaughey, NDavid Paymer, Nigel Hawthorne, Pete Postlethwaite and Stellan Skarsgård. The album features the remastered and expanded original score composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Williams (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jaws, Jurassic Park, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), including previously unreleased music from the movie, as well as fourteen bonus tracks featuring source music, concert arrangements and alternate tracks. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 2002 comic book movie Spider-Man directed by Sam Raimi and starring Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Willem Dafoe and James Franco. The album features the expanded and remastered original score from the film composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, The Nightmare Before Christmas, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Alice in Wonderland, Edward Scissorhands). The 3-CD set includes the content of the original 2002 score album and two bonus tracks on the first disc and the expanded film score presentation, as well as additional bonus cues on the second and third discs. The soundtrack, which is being released to coincide with the movie’s 20th anniversary, is limited to 5,000 copies and will be available to order on the label’s official website this coming Tuesday, November 29. Silva Screen Records has announced the details of the soundtrack albums for this year’ Doctor Who specials, Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils and The Power of the Doctor. The albums feature the original music from the Series 13 special episodes composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree, Stephen, 9/11: Inside the President’s War Room). The Eve of the Daleks album will be released digitally on December 2 (click here to stream/download), followed by the Legend of the Sea Devils soundtrack on December 9 (visit Amazon to stream/download) and the The Power of the Doctor album on December 16 (click here to stream/download). The film starring Gerard Butler, Navid Negahban, Ali Fazal, Travis Fimmel & Elnaaz Norouzi follows an undercover CIA operative who is stuck deep in hostile territory in Afghanistan and must fight his way out when his mission is exposed.
