Opening in select theaters this weekend is the romantic drama Empire of Light written and directed by Sam Mendes and starring Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward, Toby Jones, Tanya Moodie, Tom Brooke, Crystal Clarke and Colin Firth. The film’s original music is composed by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul, Gone Girl, Mank, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). The Null Corporation has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score today. Opening in New York and Los Angeles this weekend before expanding to more markets in the coming weeks is the psychological drama The Whale directed by Darren Aronofsky and starring Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Hong Chau, Ty Simpkins and Samantha Morton. Rob Simonsen (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Foxcatcher, Nerve, The Way Back, The Adam Project) has composed the film’s original music. The track written by Honorary Academy Award-winning songwriter Diane Warren and performed by Sofia Carson is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. A new soundtrack album has been released for the 1998 slasher comedy Bride of Chucky directed by Ronny Yu, written by Don Mancini and starring Jennifer Tilly, Brad Dourif, Katherine Heigl, John Ritter and Nick Stabile. The album features the film’s original score composed by Graeme Revell (Dead Calm, Daredevil, The Crow, Tomb Raider, Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, Pineapple Express).
