Opening in select theaters this weekend is the romantic drama Empire of Light written and directed by Sam Mendes and starring Olivia Colman, Micheal Ward, Toby Jones, Tanya Moodie, Tom Brooke, Crystal Clarke and Colin Firth. The film’s original music is composed by Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (The Social Network, Watchmen, Soul, Gone Girl, Mank, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo). A new soundtrack album has been released for the 1998 slasher comedy Bride of Chucky directed by Ronny Yu, written by Don Mancini and starring Jennifer Tilly, Brad Dourif, Katherine Heigl, John Ritter and Nick Stabile. The album features the film’s original score composed by Graeme Revell (Dead Calm, Daredevil, The Crow, Tomb Raider, Pitch Black, The Chronicles of Riddick, Pineapple Express). Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1971 drama Mary, Queen of Scots directed by Charles Jarrott and starring Vanessa Redgrave, Glenda Jackson, Timothy Dalton, Patrick MacGoohan and Trevor Howard. The album features the expanded original score from the Universal Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award winner John Barry (Dances with Wolves, Goldfinger, Out of Africa, The Man with the Golden Gun, Body Heat, Somewhere in Time), including the world premiere release of the full score score in mono and the remastered original Decca album in stereo, as well as several source cues.
