Sony Masterworks will release the official soundtrack album for the romantic comedy What Happens Later. The album features the film’s original score composed by David Boman (Moonshot, Wyrm, Please Hold). Also included are five songs from the movie by artists such as The Streamline Modernes, The Brentwood Hellows, Luscious Bandit, Sage and The Four Words. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 3 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. What Happens Later is directed by Meg Ryan and stars Ryan herself and David Duchovny. The movie is based on Steven Dietz’s play Shooting Star and revolves around two ex-lovers who are reunited for the first time since their split decades prior when they find themselves snowed in at an airport overnight.

David Boman Scoring Meg Ryan’s ‘What Happens Later’
David Boman (Moonshot, Wyrm, Please Hold) has provided the original score for the upcoming romantic comedy What Happens Later. The film marks the second directorial effort of actress Meg Ryan and stars Ryan herself and David Duchovny. The movie is based on the play Shooting Star by Steven Dietz and follows two ex-lovers who are reunited for the first time since their split decades prior when they both find themselves snowed in at an airport overnight.
Meg Ryan’s ‘Ithaca’ to Feature Original Score and Song by John Mellencamp
Singer/songwriter John Mellencamp has composed the score for Meg Ryan’s directorial debut Ithaca. He also wrote an original song for the coming-of-age drama, which stars Sam Shepard, Hamish Linklater and Alex Neustaedter, as well as Tom Hanks who appears in a small role. The World War II-set film is based on Pulitzer Prize winner William Saroyan’s 1943 novel The Human Comedy and follows a 14-year old bicycle messenger who is delivering telegrams from the Secretary of War and informing the families in their small town of the death of their loved one on the front lines. Erik Jendresen (Killing Lincoln, Band of Brothers) has written the screenplay and is also producing the project with Janet Brenner (The Last Five Years) and Laura Ivey.
