Heather McIntosh (Compliance, The Art of Self-Defense, Z for Zachariah, Partner Track, The Quarry) has composed the original music for the upcoming psychological thriller Cat Person. The film is directed by Susanna Fogel (The Spy Who Dumped Me, Life Partners) and stars Emilia Jones, Nicholas Braun, Geraldine Viswanathan, Hope Davis, Fred Melamed and Isabella Rossellini. The movie is based on a short story by Kristen Roupenian and centers on the brief relationship between a college student working concessions at an arthouse theater and an older frequent moviegoer at the theater. ‘The Leech’ Soundtrack Released

ETR Records has released a soundtrack album for the horror comedy The Leech. The album features the film’s original music composed by Eric Romary (Sadistic Intentions, Doomsday). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. The Leech is written and directed by Eric Pennycoff and stars Jeremy Gardner, Graham Skipper and Taylor Gardner. Stopstart Music will release a soundtrack album for the ITVX/AMC+/Sundance Now limited series Litvinenko. The album features the show’s original music composed by Nonclassical founder Gabriel Prokofiev (OK Computer). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Thursday, December 15 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Litvinenko is written by George Kay and stars David Tennant, Margarita Levieva, Mark Bonnar and Neil Maskell. The 4-parter directed by Jim Field Smith centers on Alexander Litvinenko, the former Russian Federal Security Services and KGB officer, whose death from Polonium-210 poisoning in November 2006 triggered one of the most complex investigations in the history of the UK’s Metropolitan Police. Angelo Badalamenti (1937-2022)

Angelo Badalamenti has passed away yesterday at age 85 at his home in New Jersey. The composer was best known for his scores for the films of director David Lynch, including Blue Velvet, Wild at Heart, The Straight Story & Mulholland Drive, as well as the filmmaker’s TV series Twin Peaks, for which he received three Emmy Award nominations and a Grammy Award. His other scoring credits include Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s The City of Lost Children & A Very Long Engagement, Danny Boyle’s The Beach, Walter Salles’ Dark Water and Neil LaBute’s The Wicker Man. The full details of the third soundtrack album for the third season of the HBO/BBC fantasy series His Dark Materials have been revealed. The album features the original score from third and fourth episodes of the show’s third and final season composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Black Widow, The LEGO Batman Movie, Black AdamTop Gun: Maverick,  The Wheel of Time). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, December 13 by Silva Screen Records and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services.
