Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1971 Italian thriller The Fifth Cord (Giornata nera per l’ariete) co-written and directed by Luigi Bazzoni and starring Franco Nero, Silvia Monti, Edmund Purdon, Princess Ira Von Fürstenberg, Pamela Tiffin and Agostina Belli. The album features the expanded original score from the film composed by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, The Mission, Once Upon a Time in the WestThe Untouchables, Cinema Paradiso, The Hateful Eight), including previously unreleased music.
