The film marks the feature directorial debut of Max Eggers (who co-wrote The Lighthouse with his brother Robert) & Sam Eggers and stars Brandy Norwood, Andrew Burnap, Kathryn Hunter and Neal Huff. The movie is based on Susan Hill’s short story of the same title and follows a young woman whose ailing mother-in-law who who has long been estranged from the family moves in with her and proves to be the house guest from hell.
