Nathan Micay (Industry, The Last Bus) has recently scored the upcoming drama Reality. The film is directed by Tina Satter and stars Sydney Sweeney, Josh Hamilton, Marchánt Davis. The movie is based on the director’s play This Is a Room features unedited original dialogue from an FBI recording and to re-enact the 2017 search of whistle-blower and former American intelligence specialist Reality Winner’s home. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the sci-fi/horror thriller M3GAN directed by Gerard Johnstone and starring Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Ronny Chieng, Jen Van Epps, Stephane Garneau-Monten and Lori Dungey.. The film’s original music is composed by Anthony Willis (Promising Young Woman, One Last Night, How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Opening in select theaters and on VOD today is the horror thriller Candy Land directed by John Swab and starring Olivia Luccardi, Sam Quartin, Owen Campbell, Eden Brolin, Guinevere Turner, Virginia Rand and William Baldwin. David Sardy (Zombieland, End of Watch, 21, Bright, Monster Trucks, Premium Rush) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows a young woman who finds herself cast out from her religious cult and immerses herself into the underground world of truck stop sex workers, is being released by Quiver Distribution. A new soundtrack album has been released for Hallmark Hall of Fame’s 1982 television adaptation of Victor Hugo’s novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame directed by Michael Tuchner and starring Anthony Hopkins, Derek Jacobi, Lesley-Anne Down and John Gielgud. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award winner and Emmy Award nominee Ken Thorne (Superman II & III, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Protector, The Ritz, Inspector Closeau). RCA Records has released the remix/mashup of Britney Spears’ Toxic and Elvis Presley’s Viva Las Vegas from the biographical drama Elvis. The remix by Jamieson Shaw is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the full track after the jump. The label has previously released the film’s official soundtrack album last summer and is expected to release a deluxe edition featuring more music from the movie soon. 2023 BAFTA Awards Original Score Longlist Announced

The British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) today revealed the longlists for the EE British Academy Film Awards in 2023. This longlisting round was introduced in 2021 resulting in three rounds of voting. Round One voting produced the longlists in all categories announced today. Round Two voting, to determine the nominations, is now open to BAFTA’s voting members and will close on January 13. Netflix Music will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Ginny & Georgia. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s second season composed by Lili Haydn (DriverX, Strip Down, Rise Up) & Ben Bromfield (The Boss Baby: Back in Business, Oddballs). Also included are five songs from the drama performed members of the comedy drama’s cast. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, January 6 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. The label has previously released an album featuring Haydn’s and Bromfield’s score from Season 1 back in 2021.
