Theodore Shapiro (Severance, The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, Ghostbusters, Spy, Marley & Me, Bombshell) is returning to compose the original score for the upcoming animated sequel Trolls 3. Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake are reprising their roles as the lead characters of Queen Poppy and Branch. No other voice casting announcements have been made yet for the DreamWorks Animation production. Shapiro has previously scored the second installment, Trolls World Tour (and also composed the music for the studios’ Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie), while Christophe Beck composed the score for the original 2016 film. Adam Janota Bzowski (Saint Maud, The Origin) has released a soundtrack album for the British psychological thriller Here Before. The album features the composer’s original score from the film and is now available to stream/download on all major digital music platforms, including Amazon. Here Before is written and directed by Stacey Gregg and stars Andrea Riseborough, Jonjo O’Neill, Eileen O’Higgins, Martin McCann, Niamh Dornan and Lewis McAskis. The 13th Guild of Music Supervisors Awards were handed out tonight at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Anton Monsted received the top honor in the Best Music Supervision in Motion Picture – Motion Picture Over 25M for his work on Baz Luhemann’s Elvis. Lauren Marie Mikus & Bruce Gilbert received the award in the Motion Picture Under 25M category for their music supervision on the Daniels’ Everything Everywhere All at Once. Rob Lowry was honored in the Motion Picture Under 10M category for this music supervision on Cooper Raiff’s Cha Cha Real Smooth. The team behind the sound mixing of Joseph Kosinski’s Top Gun: Maverick has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in the Motion Pictures – Live Action category at tonight’s 59th annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the InterContinental in Downtown Los Angeles. Scoring mixers Al Clay & Stephen Lipson, along with production mixer Mark Weingarten, re-recording mixers Chris Burdon & Mark Taylor and foley mixer Blake Collins received the award for the film scored by Harold Faltermeyer, Hans Zimmer, Lady Gaga & Lorne Balfe. In the Motion Pictures – Animated category, scoring mixer Peter Cobbin & Kirsty Whalley were honored as part of the sound mixing team of Netflix’s Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio (scored by Alexandre Desplat). Songs from ‘Daisy Jones & The Six’ Episodes 1, 2 & 3 Released

Atlantic Records has released the songs from the first three episodes of the Amazon limited series Daisy Jones & The Six. Available to stream/download now on all major digital music services are the soundtracks for Episode 1 – Come and Get It, Episode 2 – I’ll Take You There and Episode 3 – Somebody Saved My Life Tonight featuring the songs from the titular band (which have also been released as part of the Aurora album), The Dunne Brothers (the original “The Six”) and other characters from the show. Seven more albums featuring the songs from Episodes 4-10 are expected to come out over the next couple of weeks. Daisy Jones & The Six is developed by Scott Neustadter & Michael H. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the boxing drama Creed III directed by Michael B. Jordan and starring Jordan, Jonathan Majors, Tessa Thompson, Florian Munteanu, Wood Harris,Phylicia Rashad and Mila Davis-Kent. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Shirley (The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Bad Trip,The Mysterious Benedict Society). Sony Masterworks has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today (click here for the full album details). A separate soundtrack featuring the songs from the movie has been released by Dreamville/Interscope Records (click here for more details).
Also opening nationwide is the action comedy Operation Fortune: Ruse de guerre directed by Guy Ritchie and starring Jason Statham, Aubrey Plaza, Josh Hartnett, Bugzy Malone, Cary Elwes and Hugh Grant. Chris Benstead (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man) has composed the film’s original music. No soundtrack album has been announced.
