Premiering on Wednesday, July 12, is the second season of the Apple TV+ original series The Afterparty created by Chris Miller & Phil Lord and starring Tiffany Haddish, Sam Richardson, Zoë Chao, John Cho, Ken Jeong, Paul Walter Hauser, Anna Konkle, Elizabeth Perkins, Poppy Liu, Jack Whitehall, Vivian Wu and Zach Woods. David Schweitzer (EmmaOur Great National Parks,Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King) has joined Daniel Pemberton (who composed the music for the first season) to co-score the second season of the mystery comedy, which will be available to stream on Apple TV+.

Premiering on Thursday, July 13, is the Max limited series Full Circle written by Ed Solomon, directed by Steven Soderbergh and starring Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, Jim Gaffigan, Timothy Olyphant, Jharrel Jerome, CCH Pounder, Adia, Phaldut Sharma, Sheyi Cole, Suzanne Savoy, Gerald Jones, Ethan Stoddard, Lucian Zanes and Dennis Quaid. Studio Viking has released a soundtrack album for the Canadian family drama Adventures in the Land of Asha (Jules au pays d’Asha). The album features the film’s original music composed by Peter Venne (The Twentieth Century, Les barbares de La Malbaie, Avant qu’on explose). Adventures in the Land of Asha is co-written and directed by Sophie Farkas Bolla and stars Alex Dupras, Gabie Jourdain, Marilyse Bourke, Kevin Papatie and Emmanuel Schwartz. Parlophone Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1979 documentary/concert film Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars directed by D.A. Pennebaker. The 50th Anniversary Edition features the newly remastered songs from David Bowie‘s last show as Ziggy Stardust, recorded in 1983 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, including the The Jean Genie/Love Me Do medley (feat. Jeff Beck) reinstated and Round and Round (also feat. Beck) making its very first appearance. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 11, 2023. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is supernatural horror sequel Insidious: The Red Door directed by Patrick Wilson and starring Ty Simpkins, Wilson himself, Rose Byrne, Andrew Astor, Sinclair Daniel and Hiam Abbass. The film’s original music is composed by Joseph Bishara (The Conjuring, AnnabelleThe Curse of La Llorona, Malignant). Madison Gate Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today.
