Parlophone Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1979 documentary/concert film Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars directed by D.A. Pennebaker. The 50th Anniversary Edition features the newly remastered songs from David Bowie‘s last show as Ziggy Stardust, recorded in 1983 at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, including the The Jean Genie/Love Me Do medley (feat. Jeff Beck) reinstated and Round and Round (also feat. Beck) making its very first appearance. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 11, 2023. ‘Moonage Daydream’ Soundtrack Album Announced
Parlophone Records has announced the official soundtrack album for the documentary Moonage Daydream. The album features unheard versions of songs by the film’s subject, David Bowie, as well as live tracks & mixes created exclusively for the movie. ‘The Last Panthers’ to Feature Main Titles Song by David Bowie
David Bowie has written and recorded a new song for the opening credits of the upcoming TV series The Last Panthers. The song marks Bowie’s first project for film/TV in over 20 years. The Last Panthers is created by French journalist Jerome Pierrat & Jack Thorne (Skins, A Long Way Down) and stars Samantha Morton, John Hurt and Tahar Ramin. The six-parter follows a British loss adjustor charged with recovering stolen diamonds after a heist whatever the cost.
