Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the racing drama Gran Turismo directed by Neill Blomkamp and starring Archie Madekwe, David Harbour, Orlando Bloom, Josha Stradowski, Djimon Hounsou, Geri Halliwell-Horner, Daniel Puig and Thomas Kretschmann. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning & Fallout, His Dark Materials, Black Widow) and Andrew Kawczynski (The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Corrupted). Sony Classical has released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score earlier this month. Also opening wide is the thriller Retribution directed by Nimrod Antal and starring Liam Neeson, Noma Dumezweni, Lilly Aspell, Jack Champion, Matthew Modine and Embeth Davidtz. Harry Gregson-Williams (Shrek, The Chronicles of Narnia, Mulan, The Martian, The Meg, Kingdom of Heaven) has composed the film’s original music. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Wednesday.
