The film is directed by Luke Cormican and features the voices of Wesley Kimmel, Erica Cerra and Hunter Dillon. Composer Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Freaks & Geeks, BridesmaidsBad Teacher, Daddy’s Home, Me and You and Everyone We Know) is reuniting with director Nahnatchka Khan (Fresh Off the Boat, Young Rock) on the upcoming slasher comedy Totally Killer. The film starring Kiernan Shipka, Olivia Holt, Julie Bowen, Randall Park, Charlie Gillespie, Lochlyn Munro & Liana Liberato is set 35 years after the murder of three teens, when the infamous “Sweet Sixteen Killer“ returns on Halloween night to claim a fourth victim. The movie follows a 17-year-old girl who ignores her who comes face-to-face with the masked maniac and accidentally time-travels to 1987, the year of the original killings. Film Fest Gent has announced the new album Laurence Rosenthal – Music for Film and Television featuring music by recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s World Soundtrack Awards, including all-new studio recordings of selected scores by the composer performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and conducted by the festival’s music director Dirk Brossé. Titles featured on the album include Becket (for which he received an Academy Award nomination), The Miracle Worker, The Return of a Man Called Horse, Clash of the Titans and the miniseries Mussolini: The Untold Story. The composer will incorporate melodies of the opera and also create original compositions for the movie directed by Sébastien Laudenbach (The Girl Without Hands). A24 Music will release the official soundtrack album for Dicks: The Musical. The album features the original score from the musical comedy written by the film’s composers Marius de Vries (Moulin Rouge!, Coda) & Karl Saint Lucy and the original songs created by the composers and the movie’s writers/stars Aaron Jackson and Josh Sharp (who co-wrote the music for the original stage play F***ing Identical Twins, on which the film is based). Andrew Bird (Norman, Baskets, Outside In, The Bubble) has composed the original score for the upcoming noir comedy Poolman. The film marks the directorial debut of actor Chris Pine and stars Pine himself, Annette Bening, Danny DeVito, Jennifer Jason Leigh and DeWanda Wise.
