Premiering today is the National Geographic original documentary series Incredible Animal Journeys narrated by Jeremy Renner and executive produced by Martha Holmes, Sarah Gibbs & Tom Hugh-Jones. The show’s original music is composed by Jake Monaco (Jerry & Marge Go Large, Cars on the Road, Dumplin’, Flora & Ulysses, Let’s Be Cops, Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie, Keeping Up with the Joneses). Hollywood Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this past Friday. Premiering in the U.S. on Tuesday, November 21, is the Irish TV series Obituary created by Ray Lawlor and staring Siobhán Cullen, Michael Smiley, Ronan Raftery, Danielle Galligan and David Ganly. Steve Lynch (Wreck, Boys from Hell, Let Us Prey) has composed the show’s original music. The composer has released a soundtrack album featuring his score earlier this fall when the series premiered in Ireland on RTÉ . Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s Japanese original anime series Ōoku: The Inner Chambers. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Kenji Kawai (Ghost in the Shell, Ip Man, Death Note, Resident Evil: Vendetta). Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the prequel The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes directed by Francis Lawrence and starring Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, Peter Dinklage, Hunter Schafer, Viola Davis, Josh Andrés Rivera and Jason Schwartzman. The film’s original score is composed by James Newton Howard (The Sixth Sense, King Kong, Signs, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them). Also opening wide is DreamWorks Animation’s sequel Trolls Band Together directed by Walt Dohrn and starring Anna Kendrick, Justin Timberlake, Camila Cabello, Eric André, Amy Schumer, Troye Sivan, Daveed Diggs, Andrew Rannells, Zosia Mamet, Zooey Deschanel and Kid Cudi. Theodore Shapiro (Severance, The Devil Wears Prada, Tropic Thunder, Spy, Bombshell, Marley & Me) has composed the film’s original score. Timberlake & Mike Elizondo serve as the project’s executive music producers and Joseph Shirley (Creed III, The Book of Boba Fett) is credited as song producer. A&E Television Networks will release two soundtrack albums for the History Channel original documentary series Kennedy.
