Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the psychological thriller Trap written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan and starring Josh Hartnett, Ariel Donoghue, Hayley Mills and Allison Pill. The film’s original score is composed by Herdís Stefánsdóttir (Knock at the Cabin, Y: The Last Man, The Sun Is Also a Star, The Essex Serpent, We’re Here). Saleka (who stars as the fictional pop star Lady Raven) has contributed the project’s original songs. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the songs today. Also opening wide is the family adventure Harold and the Purple Crayon directed by Carlos Saldanha and starring Zachary Levi, Lil Rel Howery, Tanya Reynolds, Alfred Molina Jemaine Clement, Benjamin Bottani and Zooey Deschanel. Batu Sener (The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild, Better Man, Ice Age: Scrat Tales) has composed the film’s original music.
