Already playing in theaters nationwide since this past Wednesday is the animated sequel Despicable Me 4 directed by Chris Renaud and starring Steve Carell, Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Joey King, Sofia Vergara, Pierre Coffin, Chloe Fineman, Stephen Colbert, Miranda Cosgrove and Steve Coogan. The film’s original score is composed by Heitor Pereira (Minions, Minions: The Rise of Gru, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, The Smurfs, Smallfoot, Paw Patrol: The Movie). Pharrell Williams is credited for providing the original songs and themes. Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring Pereira’s score last Friday (click here for the full album details) and Columbia Records haw released Williams’ new song Double Life as a digital single (click here to listen to the track and to learn more about the Illumination production).
Opening in theaters nationwide today is the slasher movie MaXXXine written and directed by Ti West and starring Mia Goth, Elizabeth Debicki, Bobby Cannavale, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, Lily Collins and Kevin Bacon. Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, 300, John Wick, Watchmen, Atomic Blonde, The Punisher, The Way, Dawn of the Dead) has composed the film’s original score.
