Mark Isham has been hired to score the pilot for the ABC drama Beauty and the Beast. The reimagining of the classic fairy tale stars Darius Campbell, F. Murray Abraham, Ruth Bradley, Chris Egan, Karen LeBlanc and Meegan Warner. The show written and executive produced by Jon Steinberg (Jericho, Human Target) is set in a dangerous world where a beautiful and tough princess discovers an unlikely connection with a mysterious beast. Yves Simoneau (V, Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee) has directed the pilot of the ABC Studios production. Also executive producing is Gary Fleder (Runaway Jury) through his Mojo Films production company. Isham has previously collaborated with Fleder on several movies, including the thrillers Kiss the Girls and Don’t Say a World. The full details of the soundtrack release for Ridley Scott’s highly anticipated sci-fi horror film Prometheus have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Marc Streitenfeld (Robin Hood, American Gangster), as well as two tracks from the additional music written by Harry Gregson-Williams. The soundtrack will be released on June 12, 2012 by Sony Masterworks and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Audio clips will be added to this article within the next few weeks. Prometheus stars Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Ben Foster. ‘Rust & Bone’ Soundtrack Details

The details of the soundtrack release for Jacques Audiard’s drama Rust & Bone (De rouille et d’os) have been revealed. The album features 18 tracks from the film’s original score composed by Alexandre Desplat. Also included are various songs from the movie by Bon Iver, Azari, John Cooper Clarke, The B-52’s, Lykke Li, Carte Blanche and Colin Stetson. The soundtrack will be released in France both digitally and physically on May 14, 2012. Audio clips can be checked out here and the album is available to order as an import on Amazon. No domestic release for the soundtrack has been announced yet. Rust & Bone stars Marion Cottilard a killer whale trainer who suffers a terrible accident during one evening’s performance and is left handicapped. Matthias Schoenarts, Celine Sallette and Bouli Lanners are co-starring. The French drama is set to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next week.

Adam Berry has recently scored two NBC comedy pilots. First up is Susan 313 created by Sarah Silverman who stars in the show as a woman readjusting to the single life after a decade-long live-in relationship. The comedy is loosely based on Silverman’s life and co-stars Jeff Goldblum, Tig Notaro, Ken Leung, Harris Wittels and June Raphael. Ken Kwapis (He’s Just Not That Into You) has directed the pilot and is also executive producing the project with Silverman, Dan Sterling, as well as Ron Howard, Brian Grazer and Francie Calfo for Imagine Entertainment (24, Parenthood, Friday Night Lights). Silverman has also co-written the script with Sterling and Jon Schroeder. The composer has previously scored the comedian’s Comedy Central series The Sarah Silverman Project. The first TV spot for the upcoming comic book adaptation of The Amazing Spider-Man reveals that Sony Classical will be releasing the score album for the reboot of the film series. The film’s music is composed by James Horner. Nick Urata has signed on to score the upcoming dark comedy Arthur Newman, Golf Pro. The film is directed by commercials director Dante Ariola and stars Colin Firth, Emily Blunt, Anne Heche and Kristin Lehman. The movie centers on a man who hates his job, is estranged from his ex-wife and son, and blew his one shot at living his dream. After staging his own death and buying himself a new identity as “Arthur Newman,” a golf pro, his road trip towards his new life is interrupted by the arrival of a beautiful but fragile woman. Mark Mothersbaugh has recently scored the pilot for the CW drama The Carrie Diaries. The project based on the bestselling novel by Candace Bushnell is a prequel to the HBO hit show Sex And The City starring Sarah Jessica Parker, and follows the life of Carrie Bradshaw in the 1980s when she asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. The show stars AnnaSophia Robb as Young Carrie, as well as Austin Butler, Katie Findlay, Freeman Agyeman, Matt Letscher, Chloe Bridges, Stefania Owen and Ellen Wong.
