The details of the fourth and final soundtrack release for the Fox docu-series Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey have been revealed. The album features 40 more minutes from the show’s original music composed by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers). Television Academy to Present SCORE! A Concert Celebrating Music Composed for Television

The Television Academy has revealed more details about their first TV music concert, which was originally announced earlier this year. SCORE! A Concert Celebrating Music Composed for Television will take place on Wednesday, May 21 at 8 p.m. at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles. The event will be hosted by Jon Burlingame and will feature original scores from over 50 television series performed by a 67 piece orchestra and the 40 voice LA Chorus directed by Steve Lively. 15-times Emmy Award nominee Mark Snow (The X-Files, Millennium) will be honored with a Career Achievement Award presented by the Television Academy’s Music Peer Group. Among the composers who will be conducting their own scores at the concert will be Jeff Beal (House of Cards, Rome), Sean Callery (24, Homeland, Elementary), Alf Clausen (The Simpsons), Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones), James S. ‘The White Queen’ Soundtrack Details

Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the British mini-series The White Queen. The album features selections from the series written by Emmy Award-winning composer John Lunn (Downton Abbey). The soundtrack will be released on June 30, 2014. The White Queen is based on Philippa Gregory’s historical novel series The Cousins’ War and stars Rebecca Ferguson, Max Irons, Janet McTeer, James Frain, Amanda Hale and David Oakes. The show about three women in their quest for power in the 15th Century premiered in the U.S. last year on Starz and was honored with three nominations at this year’s Golden Globe Awards. The Control Room will release a soundtrack album for the romantic comedy Delicious. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Michael Price (Sherlock, Horrid Henry: The Movie) who also serves as a producer on the movie. The score was recorded with the Budapest Cafe Orchestra. Also included are songs by Cicero Buck, Selah Corbin and Polly Paulusma. The details of the soundtrack album for the superhero sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past have been revealed. The album features the film’s original score composed by John Ottman (The Usual Suspects, Superman Returns, The Fantastic Four) who previously scored X2. Also included is Roberta Flack’s song The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face and Jim Groce’s Time in a Bottle. Imagine Dragons have written the original song Battle Cry for Michael Bay’s upcoming action sequel Transformers: Age of Extinction. The band also contributed original music during the scoring process by recording cues with the film’s composer Steve Jablonsky, and Hans Zimmer, who assisted in the process. The songs is said to be used in critical points during the movie. Imagine Dragons will perform the new single live at the film’s worldwide premiere in Hong Kong. Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1990 sci-fi thriller Solar Crisis produced by Richard Edlund and starring Charlton Heston, Tim Matheson, Peter Boyle and Jack Palance. The film’s original music is composed and conducted by Academy Award winner Maurice Jarre (Lawrence of Arabia, Dr. Zhivago, Dead Poets Society, Ghost). Michael Giacchino to Score ‘Jurassic World’

Michael Giacchino has signed on to score the upcoming action adventure Jurassic World. The film is directed by Colin Trevorrow (Safety Not Guaranteed) and stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, Vincent D’Onofrio, Judy Greer and BD Wong. No plot details have been revealed yet, but the movie is set to take place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park. Trevorrow has also co-written the screenplay with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are producing the project and Steven Spielberg serves as an executive producer.
