A vinyl soundtrack release has been announced for the action comedy The Nice Guys. The album features the period songs from the film by such artists as The Temptations, Al Green, Earth, Wind & Fire, Bee Gees, Rupert Holmes, Kool & The Gang, Kiss, Brick & more. The “Collector’s Edition” 2xLP set also features a 3D centerfold (3D glasses included), 1 of 6 double-sided pinup posters, liner notes by writer/director Shane Black, a collectable business card & more. The album will also released digitally and on CD on May 20 by Lakeshore Records and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Four new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Expected to top the weekend box office is Disney’s animated feature Zootopia directed by Byron Howard & Rich Moore and featuring the voices of Ginnifer Goodwin, Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer, Jenny Slate and Tommy Chong. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Giacchino (Lost, Inside Out, Star Trek, Up, Jurassic World, The Incredibles). David Newman has recently composed the music for the upcoming comedy Army of One. The film is directed by Larry Charles (Borat, Bruno, The Dictator) and stars Nicolas Cage, Russell Brand, Denis O’Hare, Ken Marino, Paul Scheer, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Rainn Wilson. The movie follows a handyman from Colorado who receives a vision telling him to go to Pakistan to capture Osama Bin Laden. Scott Rothman & Rajiv Joseph (Draft Day) have written the screenplay. Dawn Ostroff and Jeremy Steckler are producing the project for Conde Nast Entertainment, alongside James D.
