It was announced at Comic-Con today that Sia will write two original songs for the upcoming animated feature My Little Pony: The Movie. She has also joined the voices cast, which also includes Uzo Aduba, Emily Blunt, Kristen Chenoweth, Taye Diggs, Michael Pena, Liev Schrieber, Tara Strong, Cathy Weseluck, Andrea Libman, Tabitha St. Germain and Ashleigh Ball. Jayson Thiessen is directing the film, which is scripted by Rita Hsaio (Toy Story 2, Mulan) and Meghan McCarthy. Brian Goldner (G.I. Joe, Battleship), Stephen Davis (Jem and the Holograms) and Josh Feldman are producing the project. My Little Pony: The Movie is set to be released on October 6, 2017 by Lionsgate.
