‘Belcanto’ Soundtrack Album Released

COLOORA has released a soundtrack album for the Italian TV series Belcanto. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Stefano Lentini (The Red Door, The Sea Beyond, Studio Battaglia, The Nest of the Turtledove), as well as reworks of classics arranged by the composer. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to Lentini’s first track below. Belcanto is directed by Carmine Elia and stars Vittoria Puccini, Carmine Recano, Giacomo Giorgio, Caterina Ferioli, Adriana Savarese, Vincenzo Ferrera, Andrea Verticchio, Nicolò Pasetti, Serena De Ferrari, Andrea Bosca and Antonio Gerardi. The 15th Guild of Music Supervisors Awards were handed out tonight at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Maggie Rodford received the top honor in the Best Music Supervision in Major Budget Films for her work on Jon M. Chu’s Wicked. Steven Gizicki received the award in the Mid-Level Budget Films category for his music supervision on James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown and Jessica Berndt & Chris Swanson were honored in the Low Budget Films category for their music supervision on Jane Schoenbrun’s I Saw the TV Glow. The spinoff of USA’s original Suits series, which ran between 2011 and 2019, follows a former federal prosecutor from New York who has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles and – in order to survive – must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Premiering tonight is the NBC comedy drama Grosse Pointe Garden Society created by Jenna Bans & Bill Krebs and starring Melissa Fumero, Aja Naomi King, AnnaSophia Robb, Ben Rappaport, Nancy Travis, Matthew Davis,, Alexander Hodge and Felix Wolfe. The show’s original music is composed by Sofia degli Alessandri (aka Drum & Lace) (Red, White & Royal Blue, Dickinson, Cobweb, Good Girls) & Ian Hultquist (Assassination Nation, The Walking Dead: Dead City, One of Us Is Lying). ‘A Complete Unknown’ Wins Cinema Audio Society Award

The team behind the sound mixing of James Mangold’s A Complete Unknown has won the award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Mixing in the Motion Pictures – Live Action category at tonight’s 61st annual Cinema Audio Society Awards ceremony at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Scoring mixer Nick Baxter (who also serves as the movie’s executive music producer), along with production sound mixer Tod A. Maitland, re-recording mixers Paul Massey & David Giammarco, ADR mixer David Betancourt and foley mixer Kevin Schultz received the award for the Academy Award-nominated film. In the Motion Pictures – Animated category, scoring mixer Alan Meyerson was honored as part of the sound mixing team of DreamWorks Animation’s The Wild Robot (scored by Kris Bowers). Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the Paramount+ original series 1923. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s second season composed by Brian Tyler (Fast & Furious, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Iron Man 3, Crazy Rich Asians, Iron Man 3) & Breton Vivian (Yellowstone, Five Feet Apart, Redeeming Love). The Vol. 1 soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, February 23 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Opening in theaters nationwide this weekend is the horror comedy The Monkey co-written and directed by Osgood Perkins and starring Theo James, Tatiana Maslany, Sarah Levy, Christian Convery,Elijah Wood, Colin O’Brien and Rohan Campbell. The film’s original music is composed by Edo Van Breemen (Air, Hollow in the Land, Afflicted, The Backward Class). Filmtrax/Atlantic Screen Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Also opening wide is the family drama The Unbreakable Boy written and directed by Jon Gunn and starring Zachary Levi, Meghann Fahy, Jacob Laval and Patricia Heaton. The album features the film’s original score composed by Mark Mancina (Twister, Speed, Tarzan, Bad Boys, August Rush, Brother Bear), including a previously unreleased bonus track.
