Gabriel Yared is reuniting with director Xavier Dolan on the upcoming drama It’s Only the End of the World (Juste la fin du monde). The film is written and directed by Dolan (Mommy, I Killed My Mother) and stars Marion Cotillard, Lea Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Nathalie Baye and Gaspard Ulliel. The movie is based on a play by Jean-Luc Lagarce of the same name and follows a terminally ill writer who returns home after a long absence to tell his family that he is dying. Dolan is also producing the project with his producing partner Nancy Grant, alongside Nathanael Karmitz (On the Road, Certified Copy) and Sylvain Corbeil (Felix and Meira). Andy Gray to Score Syfy’s ‘Hunters’

Andy Gray has been hired to score the upcoming Syfy original series Hunters. The show is developed by Natalie Chaidez (12 Monkeys, Heroes) based on Whitley Strieber’s best-selling novel Alien Hunter and stars Julian McMahon, Nathan Phillips, Britne Oldford, Lewis Fitz-Gerald, Mark Coles Smith, Gareth Davies, Shannon Berry and Laura Gordon. The drama chronicles the disappearance of the wife of a decorated Philadelphia cop which leads him to a secret government unit assembled to hunt a group of ruthless terrorists. Expanded ‘Nick of Time’ Soundtrack to Be Released

La-La Land Records will release a new soundtrack album for the 1995 action thriller Nick of Time directed by John Badham and starring Johnny Depp, Christopher Walken and Charles S. Dutton. The album features the expanded and remastered score from the Paramount Pictures production composed and conducted by Arthur B. Rubinstein (Blue Thunder, Wargames, Scarecrow and Mrs. King), including more than 30 minutes of previously unreleased music. The CD is limited to 1500 copies. Deborah Lurie is reteaming with Dan Harris (screenwriter of X-Men 2 & Superman Returns) on the upcoming comedy drama Speech & Debate. The film marks the filmmaker’s second feature directorial effort and stars Liam James, Sarah Steel, Wendi McLendon-Covey and Austin McKenzie. The movie is based on the off-Broadway play of the same title by Stephen Karam (The Seagull) and follows a misfit trio of high school students who, frustrated by the hypocrisy of their authority figures, revive their school’s long since shut-down speech and debate club. Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the sports drama Eddie the Eagle. The album features a collections of songs inspired by the movie by artists including Marc Almond, Andy Bell, Tony Hadley, Holly Johnson, Go West, Kim Wilde, Paul Young, ABC, Nik Kershaw, Howard Jones & more. Also included is the theme from the movie’s original score composed by Matthew Margeson (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass 2, Skyline). The soundtrack is set to be released digitally next month. A CD version is coming out on March 18, 2016 and is available for pre-order on Amazon. ‘Grease LIVE!’ Soundtrack Announced

Republic Records, FOX and Paramount Television have announced a soundtrack album for the TV musical event Grease LIVE!. The album features the songs from the special originally written for the stage musical and the 1979 film by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey, as well as two original tracks written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey and performed by Carly Rae Jepsen and DNCE and an original track written and performed by DNCE. The soundtrack will be available digitally on Sunday, January 31, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on iTunes. The first song Grease (Is The Word) performed by the live cast and Jessie J is already available to download on Amazon. Premiering tonight is the revival mini-series of The X-Files created by Chris Carter and starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi, as well as guest stars including Joel McHale, Robbie Amell and Lauren Ambrose. Mark Snow (Millennium, Smallville, Blue Bloods, Ghost Whisperer) who previously scored all episodes of the original series, as well as the two movie adaptations, returns as the composer of the 6-part series.
