goldThis past week, Daniel Pemberton has recorded his score for the upcoming adventure drama Gold. The film is directed by Stephen Gaghan (Syriana) and stars Matthew McConaughey, Bryce Dallas Howard, Edgar Ramirez, Corey Stoll, Toby Kebbell, Bruce Greenwood and Stacy Keach. The movie follows a modern-day prospector desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a similarly eager geologist and sets off to find gold in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia. ‘Seven’ Score Album Details

The album features the film’s complete original score composed by Howard Shore (The Lord of the RingsThe Silence of the LambsThe HobbitHugoThe Aviator). The soundtrack will be released on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Collector’s Edition marks the first official release of the score. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:

morganOpening in most theaters is the sci-fi thriller Morgan directed by Luke Scott, produced by Ridley Scott and starring Kate Mara, Anya Taylor-Joy, Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Paul Giamatti. The film’s original music is composed by Max Richter (The LeftoversWaltz with BashirDisconnectTestament of Youth). No word on a soundtrack release. Morgan centers around corporate troubleshooter who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate a genetically-engineered being. The movie is being released by 20th Century Fox. light-between-oceansAlso opening wide is the drama The Light Between Oceans written and directed by Derek Cianfrance and starring Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander, Rachel Weisz, Bryan Brown and Jack Thompson. Alexandre Desplat (The Grand Budapest HotelThe King’s SpeechHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) has composed the film’s original music. The album features the film’s orchestral score composed by Craig Armstrong (Moulin Rouge!The Great GatsbyBaz Luhrmann’s Romeo & JulietWorld Trade CenterThe Incredible Hulk). The soundtrack will be released digitally on September 16, 2016 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.
