Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for the 1980s classic animated TV series DuckTales produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and starring Alan Young, Russi Taylor, Chuck McCann, Frank Welker, Terry McGovern, Hal Smith and Joan Gerber. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed and conducted by Ron Jones (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Family Guy, American Dad!, Superman). Also included is the theme song written by Mark Mueller and arranged by Jones. The 2-CD set is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also listen to audio samples and find out more information about the release.

Walt Disney Records has released the main titles theme song of the reboot of the animated series DuckTales. The song is a cover of the title track from Disney’s classic series written by Mark C. Mueller. The new version is performed by singer/songwriter Felicia Barton and produced by music producer Michael ‘Smidi’ Smith and the show’s composer Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Free Birds, Money Monster). Disney XD has premiered the main titles for the upcoming reboot of the animated series DuckTales. The titles sequence features a new version of the title song from the classic series written by Mark C. Mueller. The track is performed by singer/songwriter Felicia Barton and produced by Emmy-winning Michael ‘Smidi’ Smith and the show’s composer Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Free Birds, Money Monster, Rough Night). The song will be released by Walt Disney Records on Friday, June 23. DuckTales is developed by Marc Youngberg and features the voices of David Tennant, Bobby Moynihan, Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett, Tony Anselmo and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
Dominic Lewis to Score ‘DuckTales’ Reboot
Dominic Lewis has been tapped to score Disney’s upcoming animated series DuckTales. The show is developed by Marc Youngberg based on the classic 80s cartoon and features the voice talent of David Tennant, Bobby Moynihan, Ben Schwartz, Danny Pudi, Kate Micucci, Toks Olagundoye, Beck Bennett, Tony Anselmo and Lin-Manuel Miranda. The series follows the adventures of millionaire Scrooge McDuck and his nephews, as they travel around the world in search of treasure and wealth. Youngberg is also executive producing the project. Ron Jones has scored all episodes of the original TV series, which premiered in 1987.

Intrada Records has announced the world premiere soundtrack release for Disney’s 1990 animated feature DuckTales the Movie: Treasure of the Lost Lamp directed by Bob Hathcot and featuring the voices of Alan Young, Terrence McGovern, Russi Taylor, Richard Libertini, Christopher Lloyd, June Foray, Chuck McCann, Joan Gerber and Rip Taylor. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee David Newman (Anastasia, Ice Age, The Flintstones, Serenity, The Nutty Professor, War of the Roses).
