Tamar-kali (Mudbound) is composing the music for the upcoming drama Come Sunday. The film is directed by Joshua Marston (Maria Full of Grace, Complete Unknown) and stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Danny Glover, Condola Rashad, Jason Segel, Lakeith Stanfield and Martin Sheen. The movie revolves around the internationally-renowned pastor Carlton Pearson as he risks his church, family and future when he questions church doctrine and finds himself branded a modern-day heretic. Marcus Hinchey (All Good Things) wrote the screenplay. 
Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for Robert Zemeckis’ 1988 classic Who Framed Roger Rabbit starring Bob Hoskins, Christopher Lloyd, Stubby Kaye, Charles Fleischer and Joanna Cassidy. The 3-CD set features the complete original score from the Touchstone Pictures production composed and conducted by Alan Silvestri (Back to the Future, Forrest Gump, The Avengers, Cast Away, The Croods, Captain America: The First Avenger), including more than 50 minutes of previously unreleased music, as well as alternate cues on the first two discs and the content of the original 1988 album on the third disc. Also included is the world premiere release of Bruce Broughton‘s music from the 1990/1993 animated shorts Rollercoaster Rabbit and Trail Mix-Up, as well as James Horner‘s score from 1989’s Tummy Trouble. 
David Lang has been tapped to score the upcoming TNT limited series One Day She’ll Darken. The show is created by Sam Sheridan and stars Chris Pine, Leland Orser, India Eisley, Connie Nielsen, Jefferson Mays, Yul Vazquez, Justin Cornwell, Dylan Smith, Jay Paulson and Golden Brooks. The 6-parter tells the story of Fauna Hodel who was given away at birth. As she begins to investigate the secrets to her past, she follows a sinister trail that swirls ever closer to an infamous Hollywood gynecologist, a man involved in the darkest Hollywood debauchery. Patty Jenkins (Wonder Woman, Monster) is directing the first three episodes and is also executive producing the project with Sheridan, Pine, Michael Sugar (Spotlight, 13 Reasons Why) and Carl Franklin (Out of Time, One True Thing). 
Back Lot Music will release a score album for the film adaptation of Fifty Shades Freed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Danny Elfman (Batman, Spider-Man, Alice in Wonderland, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Avengers: Age of Ultron). The soundtrack will be released physically on February 16, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on 
This past week, James Lavelle and Jack Leonard of the British music collective UNKLE have been recording their score for the upcoming FX original series Trust. The show is created by Simon Beaufoy (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, The Full Monty) and stars Donald Sutherland, Michael Esper, Hilary Swank, Harris Dickinson, Brendan Fraser, Anna Chancellor, Norbert Leo Butz, Charlotte Riley and Luca Marinelli. The drama’s first season tells the story of John Paul Getty III, heir to the Getty oil fortune, and is set in 1973 when the young Getty is kidnapped in Rome and his mafia captors are banking on a multi-million dollar ransom.

Dhani Harrison & Paul Hicks (Learning to Drive, Good Girls Revolt, Beautiful Creatures, White Famous, The Divide) have composed the original score for the upcoming documentary MATANGI / MAYA / M.I.A. The film is directed by Stephen Loveridge and centers on rapper/singer-songwriter, Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam aka M.I.A. Drawn from a never before seen cache of personal footage spanning decades, the movie captures Maya’s journey from immigrant teenager in London to international popstar M.I.A. Lori Cheatle, Andrew Goldman & Paul Mezey (Sugar, Beach Rats, Cold Souls) are producing the project. 
Will Blair and Brooke Blair have composed the music for the new Sundance Now original series This Close. The show is created by Josh Feldman & Shoshannah Stern who are also starring in the comedy drama with Cheryl Hines, Zach Gilford, Colt Prattes and Marlee Matlin. The 6-part series revolves around two best friends who are deaf and try to balance their personal and professional lives. Feldman and Stern are also executive producing the project with Christine Vachon (Carol, Far from Heaven), David Hinojosa (Beatriz at Dinner), Mary Pat Bentel (Animals, Goodbye World), Paul Young (Central Intelligence, Black-ish) and director Andrew Ahn (Spa Night). 
Opening in most theaters is the war drama 12 Strong directed by Nicolai Fuglsig and starring Chris Hemsworth, Michael Shannon and Michael Peña. The film’s original music is composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Genius, The Crown, Terminator Genisys, Home). WaterTower Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score.
