MovieScore Media has announced a soundtrack album for the psychological thriller The Operative. The album features the film’s original music composed by Frank Ilfman (Big Bad Wolves, Ghost Stories, Gunpowder Milkshake, The Etruscan Smile). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 21, 2021 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The Operative is written and directed by Yuval Adler and stars Diane Kruger, Martin Freeman and Cas Anvar. The movie follows a young Western woman who is recruited by the Mossad to go undercover in Tehran where she becomes entangled in a complex triangle with her handler and her subject.

The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the Fast & Furious spin-off Hobbs & Shaw directed by David Leitch and starring Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Idris Elba, Vanessa Kirby and Helen Mirren. The film’s original score is composed by Tyler Bates (Guardians of the Galaxy, Deadpool 2, John Wick, 300). Opening in limited release is the psychological thriller Luce directed by Julius Onah and starring Kelvin Harrison Jr., Naomi Watts, Octavia Spencer and Tim Roth. Ben Salisbury & Geoff Barrow (Annihilation, Ex Machina, Hanna, Free Fire) have composed the film’s original score. Lakeshore Records & Invada Records have released a soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score. Frank Ilfman to Score Yuval Adler’s ‘The Operative’
Frank Ilfman has signed on to score the upcoming spy thriller The Operative. The film is written and directed by Yuval Adler (Bethlehem) and stars Diane Kruger, Martin Freeman and Cas Anvar. The movie is based on the Israeli best seller The English Teacher written by former Israeli intelligence officer Yiftach Reicher Atir and tells the story of a woman recruited by the Mossad to go undercover in Tehran who becomes entangled in a complex triangle with her handler and her subject. Anne Carey (Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Mr. Holmes, 20th Century Women) is producing the project for Archer Gray, alongside Match Factory Production’s Michael Weber & Viola Fügen (Foxtrot) and Spiro Films’ Eitan Mansuri (The Congress).
