Mac Quayle to Score FX’s ‘Pose’

Mac Quayle has been tapped to score the upcoming FX original series Pose. The show is created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk & Steven Canals and stars Dominique Jackson, Mj Rodriguez, Indya Moore, Angelica Ross, Hallie Sahar, Ryan Jamaal Swain, Billy Porter, Dyllon Burnside, Evan Peters, Kate Mara and James Van Der Beek. The drama is set in the 1980s and looks at the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York: the rise of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene & the ball culture world. The details of the score release for the family comedy Peter Rabbit have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed by Dominic Lewis (The Man in the High Castle, Money Monster, Free Birds, DuckTales, Rough Night). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, April 13, by Madison Gate Records and will be available to download on Amazon. As previously reported, a soundtrack single featuring a song from the movie and a suite from Lewis’ score was released in February. Peter Rabbit directed by Will Gluck and starring Rose Byrne, Domhnall Gleeson & Sam Neill and featuring the voices of James Corden, Daisy Ridley, Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie is now playing in theaters worldwide. Garth Stevenson revealed in a recent interview with Film Music Magazine that he is currently scoring the upcoming dramatic thriller Them That Follow. The film is written and directed by Brittany Poulton & Daniel Savage and stars Olivia Colman, Alice Englert, Thomas Mann, Kaitlyn Dever, Jim Gaffigan and Walton Goggins. The movie is set deep in the wilds of Appalachia, where believers handle poisonous snakes to prove their righteousness before God. Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel (Olympus/London Has Fallen, Den of Thieves) and Danielle Robinson are producing the project for G-BASE, alongside Bradley Gallo & Michael Helfant (The Call, Mr. Right) for Amasia. Lakeshore Records has announced a soundtrack album for the HBO original movie Paterno. The album features the film’s original music composed by Evgueni & Sacha Galperine (The FamilyLovelessNine LivesThe Whole TruthThe Past) who previously scored last year’s HBO movie The Wizard of Lies. The soundtrack will be released digitally on April 27, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Paterno is directed by Barry Levinson and stars Al Pacino in the title role, alongside Riley Keough, Annie Parisse, Kathy Baker and Greg Grunberg. The drama tells the story of Joe Paterno, who, after becoming the winningest coach in college football history, is embroiled in Penn State’s Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for Pablo Berger’s fantasy comedy Abracadabra. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alfonso de Vilallonga (Transsiberian, My Life Without Me, The Bookshop) who previously scored the director’s 2012 feature Snow White (Blancanieves). Universal Music will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars. The album features 32 songs spanning Clapton’s long and illustrious career, including five previously unreleased tracks, as well as two alternative mixes made for Eric Clapton’s 1970 debut album. The soundtrack will be released digitally and as a 2-CD set on June 8, 2018 and as a 4-LP set on July 20. The pre-order link will be added to this article within the next few days. Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars is directed by Lili Fini Zanuck and takes a look into the life of the legendary 18-time Grammy Award winning guitarist and multi-million selling recording artist. ’20 Weeks’ Soundtrack Announced

London Electronic Recordings will release a soundtrack album for the indie comedy 20 Weeks. The album features the film’s original music composed by electronic music producer Kate Simko who made her narrative feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, April 13 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 20 Weeks is directed by Leena Pendharkar and stars Anna Margaret Hollyman and Amir Arison. The movie follows a young couple navigating their first pregnancy, who during a routine scan discover a health condition that could gravely impact their baby, which forces them to re-examine their relationship and their future. Rahman (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Couples Retreat, The 100-Foot Journey, Million Dollar Arm), including two new original songs. The soundtrack is now available to download on iTunes, where you can also listen to audio samples. Beyond the Clouds is directed by Majid Majidi and stars Ishaan Khatter and Malavika Mohanan. Anne Dudley is scoring the upcoming comedy The Hustle. The film is directed by Chris Addison (Veep) and stars Rebel Wilson, Anne Hathaway, Alex Sharp, Tim Blake Nelson and Ingrid Oliver. The movie is a remake of 1988’s Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (scored by Miles Goodman) and revolves around a pair of scammers -one low-rent and the other high-class – competing to swindle a naive tech prodigy out of his fortune. Lionsgate announced today it will kick off its international tour of The Hunger Games in Concert with a July 12 world premiere in Manchester, UK. The event will feature a 60-piece orchestra performing the score from Academy Award-nominated composer James Newton Howard and will accompany an HD screening of the original 2012 The Hunger Games movie directed by Gary Ross and starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson & Liam Hemsworth.
