Three new movies are opening nationwide this week:
Expected to top the weekend box office is the fantasy adventure Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children directed by Tim Burton and starring Eva Green, Asa Butterfield and Samuel L. Jackson. The film’s original music is composed by Mike Higham & Matthew Margeson (Eddie the Eagle, Kingsman: The Secret Service, Kick-Ass 2). A soundtrack album featuring the composers’ score will be released digitally within the next few weeks and physically on October 11 on La-La Land Records’ website and October 14 in other stores. Visit Amazon to pre-order the CD and check back on this page for the full album details. Available now is the film’s original song Wish That You Were Here by Florence + the Machine.
Also opening wide is the action drama Deepwater Horizon directed by Peter Berg and starring Mark Wahlberg, Kurt Russell, John Malkovich, Gina Rodriguez, Dylan O’Brien and Kate Hudson. Steve Jablonsky (Transformers, Ender’s Game, Lone Survivor, The Island) has composed the film’s original music. Warner Bros. Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as an original song by Gary Clark Jr. Click here for the full album details.
