Adams & Joe Ksander and features the voices of Jason Sudeikis, Michael Peña, David Cross and Charlyne Yi. won his first Emmy Award for his main titles theme music from the Netflix limited series Godless at tonight’s Creative Arts Emmy Awards ceremony at the Microsoft Theatre LA LIVE in Downtown Los Angeles. Ramin Djawadi was honored with his first Primetime Emmy Award for his score for the episode The Dragon and the Wolf from HBO’s Game of Thrones in the Music Composition for a Series category. Three new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the supernatural horror thriller The Nun directed by Corin Hardy and starring Demian Bichir, Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, Charlotte Hope, Ingrid Bisu and Bonnie Aarons. The film’s original music is composed by Abel Korzeniowski (A Single Man, Penny Dreadful, W.E., Nocturnal Animals, Romeo & Juliet). Also opening wide is the action thriller Peppermint directed by Pierre Morel and starring Jennifer Garner, John Ortiz, John Gallagher Jr. and Juan Pablo Raba. Also included is the film’s original score composed by Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, Minions, The Angry Birds Movie). The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on September 28.
