Walt Disney Records will release the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Symphonic Suite composed by John Williams (Star Wars, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T., Raiders of the Lost Ark, Schindler’s List, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone). The composer wrote the suite for the new themed land at Disney’s theme parks in Anaheim, California (opening to the public on May 31) and Hollywood Studios in Orlando, Florida (opening on August 29) and recorded it last year with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios, conducted by William Ross. Sony Classical will release a soundtrack album for the supernatural horror thriller Brightburn. The album features the film’s original music composed by Timothy Williams (Walking with the EnemyI.T.Red SkyWild HorsesDiablo). The soundtrack will be released digitally on May 10 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Brightburn is directed by David Yarovesky and stars Elizabeth Banks, David Denman, Jackson A. Dunn, Matt Jones, Meredith Hagner. The James Gunn-produced movie follows a couple who adopts a baby who came from the stars. Deutsche Grammophon will release the official soundtrack album for the HBO mini-series Chernobyl. The show’s original music is composed by Hildur Gudnadottir (Joker, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Mary Magdalene, Strong Island). A first track from the composer’s score (Bridge of Death) will be released as a digital single tomorrow (click here to download). Globe will release a soundtrack album for the romantic drama Tell It to the Bees. The album features the film’s original score written by Scottish composer/performer Claire M Singer who made her feature film scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow and will be available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Tell It to the Bees is directed by Annabel Jankel and stars Anna Paquin, Holliday Grainger, Emun Elliott, Steven Robertson, Lauren Lyle, Gregor Selkirk and Kate Dickie. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Fiona Shaw and centers on a a shunned small-town doctor and beekeeper in postwar Britain who befriends a struggling mother and son, helping them discover that love can be found in many forms. David Buckley is reuniting with writers/producers Robert & Michelle King on the CBS supernatural drama pilot Evil. The show starring Katja Herbers, Mike Colter and Michael Emerson centers on a skeptical female forensic psychologist who joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. The film is directed by Ken Sanzel (Blue Bloods, Numb3rs) and stars Nicolas Cage, Ryan Kwanten, Anabelle Acosta, Enrico Colantoni and Alimi Ballard. The movie revolves around three strangers whose lives are inevitably entangled in a conflict none of them are prepared for. Walt Disney Records will release the official soundtrack album for the live-action remake of Disney’s Aladdin. Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Enchanted) has composed the original score for the film, which also features the songs from the 1992 animated classic written by Menken and featuring lyrics by Howard Ashman & Tim Rice, as well as new songs written by Menken and featuring lyrics by Benj Pasek & Justin Paul (The Greatest ShowmanLa La Land). Interscope Records will release the official soundtrack album for the biographical drama Rocketman. The album features the classic Elton John songs from the movie performed by lead actor Targon Egerton who stars as the singer/songwriter, as well as other cast members. Also included is the original song (I’m Gonna) Love Me Again written by John & Bernie Taupin and performed by John & Egerton.
