Javier Navarrete has been tapped to score the upcoming supernatural horror thriller Antlers. The film is directed by Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, Black Mass, Out of the Furnace) and stars Keri Russell, Jesse Plemons, Jeremy T. Thomas, Graham Greene, Amy Madigan, Scott Haze and Rory Cochrane. The movie follows a small-town Oregon teacher and her brother, the local sheriff, as they become entwined with a young student harboring a dangerous secret with frightening consequences. Variety is reporting that Janelle Monae is contributing two original songs to the upcoming live-action remake of Disney’s Lady and the Tramp. In addition, her artist collective Wondaland is also recording a new version of The Siamese Cat Song originally performed by Peggy Lee for the 1955 animated classics. Monae is also part of the voice cast of the movie, which is directed by Charlie Bean and also stars Tessa Thompson, Justin Theroux, Sam Elliott, Ashley Jensen, Kiersey Clemons, Thomas Mann, Benedict Wong and Yvette Nicole Brown. The film based on the classic 70s TV series is directed by Elizabeth Banks (Pitch Perfect 2) and stars Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott & Ella Balinska in the title roles, as well as Sam Claflin, Noah Centineo, Djimon Hounsou, Patrick Stewart and Banks herself. ‘XY Chelsea’ Soundtrack Album Announced

Pop Noire will release a soundtrack album for the documentary XY Chelsea. The album features the film’s original music composed by Savages front woman Jehnny Beth & Johnny Hostile. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 7 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A first track (Let It Out) is already available to download here. A vinyl edition is also in the works and will be available to order here. XY Chelsea is directed by Tim Travers Hawkins and tells the historic story of whistle-blower Chelsea Manning, whose 35-year sentence in a maximum security prison was commuted by President Obama in 2017. ‘Strike Back’ Season 7 Soundtrack Released

Madison Gate Records has released a new soundtrack album for the British action series Strike Back. The album features selections of the original music from the show’s seventh season composed by Scott Shields & Paul Saunderson (Three Identical Strangers, 100 Streets, The More You Ignore Me). The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Varese Sarabande has previously released a soundtrack album featuring Shields’ score from the third and fourth season of the drama. Season 7 of Strike Back starring Daniel MacPherson, Warren Brown, Alin Sumarwata, Jamie Bamber and Yasemin Allen premiered earlier this year in the UK on Sky One and in the U.S. on Cinemax. Premiering tonight is the Starz limited series The Spanish Princess based on Philippa Gregory’s best-selling novels and starring Charlotte Hope, Nadia Parkes, Aaron Cobham, Alan McKenna, Richard Pepper, Olly Rix, Jordan Renzo, Daniel Cerqueira and Alicia Borrachero. The show’s original music is composed by Samuel Sim (Awake, The Halcyon, Home Fires) and Chris Egan (Man Down). Milan Records has the third and final soundtrack album for the National Geographic docu-series Hostile Planet. The album features more music from the show composed by Benjamin Wallfisch (It, Shazam!, Blade Runner 2049, Hidden Figures, Annabelle Creation). The Vol. 3 album, entitled Deserts and Polar, is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. The first album (Mountains and Oceans) was released in early April and the second album (Jungles and Grassland) is now also available.
