Lakeshore Records will release a soundtrack album for the documentary Science Fair. The album features the film’s original music composed by Jeff Morrow (Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Ibiza, Trolls Holiday). David Arnold has revealed on Twitter that he is attached to co-score the upcoming BBC and Netflix mini-series Dracula with Michael Price. The show is written and created by Steven Moffat & Mark Gatiss and inspired by Bram Stoker’s classic novel. No casting announcements have been made yet. The 3-parter is set in Transylvania in 1897 and follows the the title character as he is drawing his plans against Victorian London. Moffat (Doctor Who, The Adventures of Tintin) & Gatiss are also executive producing the project with Sue Vertue for Hartswood Films, Ben Irving for BBC and Larry Tanz (Castlevania, Watership Down) for Netflix. Lakeshore Records will release a score album for the Paramount Network original series Heathers. The album features selections of the show’s original score composed by Chris Alan Lee (Younger, Mortal Kombat: Legacy, Mulaney). The soundtrack will be released digitally this Friday, October 19 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Two tracks from the album, Viral Casualty and In the Clear for Now, are already available to download. As previously reported, the label will also release a separate soundtrack featuring a selection of songs from the series. Heathers is developed by Jason Micallef based on the 1988 feature of the same name and stars Grace Victoria Cox, James Scully, Melanie Field, Brendan Scannell and Jasmine Mathews.  Read the rest of this entry »

Premiering tonight is the new CW drama Charmed developed by Jessica O’Toole & Amy Rardin and Jennie Snyder Urman and starring Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock, Ser’Darius Blain, Ellen Tamaki and Rupert Evans. The show’s original music is composed by Will Bates (The PathThe Looming Tower, The Magicians, NightflyersI OriginsAnother Earth). Also premiering tonight is the HBO original series Camping created by Lena Dunham & Jenni Konner and starring Jennifer Garner, David Tennant, Juliette Lewis, Arturo Del Puerto and Ione Skye. Singer/songwriter Ben Lee is composing the show’s original music. The comedy follows a not-so-happily married couple who outdoor trip to celebrate on of their birthdays is derailed by uninvited guests and forces of nature, turning the weekend into a test of marriage and friendships. Christopher Lennertz and Matt Bowen have composed the original music for the new Netflix limited series Best.Worst.Weekend.Ever. The show is created by Robin Stein & Daniel Bryan Franklin and stars Sam Ashe Arnold, Cole Sand, Brianna Reed,Brittany Garms, Rachel Gage, Cleo Fraser, Eddie Leavy and Tiffany Espensen. The comedy revolves around a group of teenage friends who plan an epic trip to Comic-Con to meet their idol, only to get caught in one hilariously awkward predicament after another. Christopher Young (Spider-Man 3, Hellraiser, Ghost Rider, Entrapment, The Grudge) has been tapped to score the upcoming new film adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary. The film is directed by Kevin Kölsch & Dennis Widmyer (Starry Eyes) and stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, John Lithgow, Jeté Laurence and Hugo & Lucas Lavoie. The movie follows a young family who, after moving to a rural home, discover they are living next to a creepy pet cemetery endowed with powers to reanimate whatever is buried on its grounds. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:

Opening in most theaters is the biographical drama First Man directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Ryan Gosling, Claire Foy, Jason Clarke, Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Patrick Fugit and Lukas Haas. The film’s original music is composed by Justin Hurwitz (La La Land,Whiplash). Back Lot Music has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score today. Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein (Stranger Things) have composed the music for the new ITV mini-series Butterfly. The show is created by Tony Marchant (Holding On, The Mark of Cain) and stars Anna Friel, Emmett J. Scanlan, Alison Steadman, Sean McGinley and Callum Booth-Ford. The 3-parter focuses on the complex relationship between two separated parents and their division in opinion over how to support their youngest child. The album features selections of the original music from the show composed by Sonya Belousova Giona Ostinelli (The Mist, Reprisal, Carnage Park, Darling). The soundtrack will be released digitally on October 26, 2018 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Sacred Lies is developed by Raelle Tucker and stars Elena Kampouris, Kevin Carroll, Kiana Madeira, Ryan Robbins and Toby Huss.
