The show is created by Alena Smith and stars Hailee Steinfeld in the title role, alongside Jane Krakowski, Toby Huss, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt and Adrian Enscoe. The comedy centers on 1800s poet Emily Dickinson and explores the constraints of society, gender, and family from the perspective of a budding writer who doesn’t fit in to her own time through her imaginative point of view. The film is directed by Rupert Goold (True Story, King Charles III) and stars Renee Zellweger in the title role as Judy Garland, alongside Finn Wittrock, Jessie Buckley and Michael Gambon. The movie follows the legendary performer as she arrives in London in the winter of 1968 to perform a series of sold-out concerts. The film’s original music is composed by Michael Abels (Get Out).
