Composer Alberto Iglesias (The Constant Gardener, The Kite Runner, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) is reuniting with director Pedro Almodóvar on the short film The Human Voice. The movie, which marks the director’s first time shooting in English, is based original stage play by Jean Cocteau and stars Tilda Swinton. The short tells the story of a desperate woman who waits for the phone call of the lover who has just abandoned her. Agustín Almodóvar is producing the project. Iglesias has previously scored all of Almodovar’s features (including All About My MotherTalk to HerVolver,The Skin I Live In and last year’s Pain & Glory) over the last two decades. The Human Voice will premiere next month (out of competition) at the 2020 Venice Film Festival.
