Jamie Christopherson is reuniting with director Alex Ranarivelo on the upcoming action drama Ride. The film starring Shane Graham, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Sasha Alexander, Ali Afshar, Bryan Craig, George Kosturos and Jessica Michelle is based on the inspiring true story of BMX champion John Buultjens, a young teen who is rescued when he is fostered by an unlikely interracial couple, including the foster father who wins the kid over when he buys him his first bicycle. Premiering tomorrow, May 29, is the new ABC drama Still Star-Crossed created by Heather Mitchell, executive produced by Shonda Rhimes and starring Grant Bowler, Wade Briggs, Torrance Coombs, Dan Hildebrand, Lashana Lynch, Ebonee Noel, Medalion Rahimi, Zuleikha Robinson, Sterling Sulieman, Susan Wooldridge and Anthony Head. The show’s original music is composed by Photek who also scores the Rhimes-produced ABC drama How to Get Away with Murder. The series picks up where the famous story of Romeo and Juliet ends, charting the treachery, fight for power and ill-fated romances of the Montagues and Capulets in the wake of the young lovers’ tragic fate. ‘Genius’ Soundtrack Album to Be Released

Milan Records will release the first full soundtrack album for the Nat Geo original series Genius. The album features selections from the original music of the show’s first season composed by Lorne Balfe (The LEGO Batman Movie, Home, Terminator Genisys, Marcella). Listen to a track from the album after the jump. The label has previously released a soundtrack EP featuring Balfe’s score, Hans Zimmer’s main title theme and three classical pieces. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 23 and will be available to download here. The CD version is set to come out on July 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. The track list of the soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: Homecoming has been revealed. Sony Masterworks will release the album featuring the film’s original music composed by Michael Giacchino (Doctor Strange, Up, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Jurassic World, The Incredibles) on July 7. Two new movies are opening nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the fantasy adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales directed by Joachim Rønning & Espen Sandberg and starring Johnny Depp, Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites and Geoffrey Rush. The film’s original music is composed by Geoff Zanelli (Disturbia, Into the West, The Pacific, The Odd Life of Timothy Green). Ennio Morricone’s Complete ‘State of Grace’ Soundtrack Released

Quartet Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1990 crime drama State of Grace directed by Phil Joanou and starring Sean Penn, Gary Oldman, Robin Wright, Ed Harris, John Turturro, John C. Really, Burgess Meredith and Joe Vitarelli. The album features the complete original score from the MGM production composed, orchestrated and conducted by Academy Award winner Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Once Upon a Time in America, The Mission, The Hateful Eight), including previously unreleased music. Also included is the content of the original soundtrack album on a second disc. The 2-CD set, which is limited to 1000 copies, is now available to order on the label’s website, where you can also listen to a couple of tracks and check out the full album details.

Christopher Lennertz is set to reteam with director Tim Hill on the upcoming family comedy The War with Grandpa. The film stars Robert De Niro, Uma Thurman, Rob Riggle, Christopher Walken, Cheech Marin, Oakes Fegley, Jane Seymour and Faizon Love. The movie is based on the bestselling book by Robert Kimmel Smith and follows a boy who’s forced to move out of his room when his recently widowed grandfather moves in and devises outrageous pranks to make his grandfather surrender the room. Dustin O’Halloran to Score Sky Atlantic’s ‘Save Me’

Dustin O’Halloran has been tapped to score the upcoming Sky Atlantic series Save Me. The show is created by actor Lennie James (The Walking Dead, Critical) who also stars in the drama alongside Suranne Jones and Stephen Graham. The 6-parter centers on a man who is falsely accused of a terrible crime and sets off to clear his name and find the real perpetrator. Nick Murphy (The Awakening, Blood, The Last Kingdom) is directing the show. Simon Heath (Line of Duty, United) and Jessica Sykes are executive producing the project.
