La Casa del Sombrero will release a soundtrack album for the drama In the Summers. The album features the film’s original music composed by Eduardo Cabra (of the Puerto Rican alternative hip-hop band Calle 13) and featuring lyrics by Sebastian Otero. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, May 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. In the Summers is written and directed by Alessandra Lacorazza and stars René “Residente” Pérez Joglar, Sasha Calle, Sharlene Cruz, Lío Mehiel, Leslie Grace, Emma Ramos, Allison Salinas, Kimaya Thais Limon, Dreya Castillo and Luciana Elisa Quiñonez. Harry Gregson-Williams (The Chronicles of Narnia, Shrek, The Martian, Gladiator 2, Chicken Run, Mulan, The Meg) has recently been scoring the upcoming National Geographic documentary series Underdogs. Rock superstars Green Day wrote the original theme song, entitled Underdog (featured in the trailer embedded below), for the show narrated by Ryan Reynolds. The 5-parter centers on the outcasts of the animal kingdom with each episode showcasing a different aspect of these underdogs’ bizarre mating strategies, surprising superpowers, deception, dubious parenting skills and gross-out behaviors. Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1993 action adventure The Three Musketeers directed by Stephen Herek and starring Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland, Chris O’Donnell, Tim Curry, Oliver Platt and Rebecca De Morna. The album features the complete and remastered original score from the Walt Disney Pictures & Caravan Pictures production composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Michael Kamen (Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, X-Men, The Iron Giant, License to Kill, Mr. Holland’s Opus), including almost an hour of previously unreleased music, as well as a couple few alternate and source cues and the content of Hollywood Records’ original 1993 soundtrack album (which includes the original song All for Love co-written by Kamen and performed by Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart & Sting). The film is written and directed by Gerard Johnstone (Housebound) and stars Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Brian Jordan Alvarez, Amie Donald, Jen Van Epps, Jenna Davis, Aristotle Athari, Ivanna Sakhno, Timm Sharp and Jemaine Clement. The movie is set two years after events of the original film and follows Gemma who has to resurrect M3GAN after the the robotic doll’s underlying technology has been stolen and misused by a powerful defense contractor to create a military-grade weapon.
