A soundtrack album will be released for the Japanese action horror movie Tokyo Ghoul. The album features the film’s original music composed by Don Davis (The Matrix Trilogy, Jurassic Park III, Behind Enemy Lines). The soundtrack will be released on July 26, 2017 and is now available as an import on Amazon. Tokyo Ghoul is directed by Kentaro Hagiwara and stars Masataka Kubota, Yu Aoi, Shunya Shiraishi, Seika Furuhata, Tomoya Maeno, Dankan and Ryo Iwamats. The movie is based on the bestselling Manga of the same title and tells the story of human-eating creatures called “ghouls” that are spreading throughout the Japanese capital. Frederik Wiedmann is composing the music for the upcoming action thriller Stoic. The full details of the Walt Disney Records Legacy Collection release for Disney Animation’s 1973 classic Robnin Hood have been revealed. The album features the film’s original songs and score composed by George Bruns (The Jungle Book, 101 Dalmations, The AristoCats) who received an Academy Award nomination for the original song Love from the movie. The 2-CD set features the original songs and score from the film on the first disc, and bonus material, including unreleased demos and bonus tracks on the second disc. Alan Menken to Collaborate with Pasek and Paul on New Songs for ‘Aladdin’ Live Action Adaptation

Alan Menken revealed today at Disney’s D23 Expo that he is writing new songs for the upcoming film adaptation of the animated Disney classic Aladdin. He will be collaborating with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land) who will be providing the lyrics for the songs. Howard Ashman and Tim Rice wrote the lyrics for Menken’s songs from the 1992 film, which are also expected to be featured in the remake. Guy Ritchie (Snatch, Sherlock Holmes) is attached to direct the movie, which will star Mena Massoud in the title role, alongside Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine and Will Smith as the Genie. ‘Fargo’ Year 3 Soundtrack Details

Sony Classical will release a new soundtrack album for the FX original series Fargo. The album features selections of the show’s original music composed by Jeff Russo (Legion, The Night Of, Power, Snowfall) who recently received his third Emmy Award nomination for his work on the drama. Also included is Russo’s & show creator Noah Hawley’s cover version of the song Ship of Fools from the episode The House of Special Purpose. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on August 4, 2017 and is now available for pre-order here. Premiering tomorrow, July 17, is the new AMC and Channel 4 original series Loaded developed by Jon Brown based on the Israeli comedy drama Mesudarim and starring Jim Howick, Samuel Anderson, Jonny Sweet, Nick Helm and Mary McCormack. The show’s original music is composed by Jack C. Arnold (Albatross, War Book). Loaded revolves around the lives of three tech entrepreneurs and friends who have just sold their start up videogame company for hundreds of millions of pounds.
