Grande Ourse has released a soundtrack album for the French drama Territory of Love (L’autre continent). The album features the film’s original music composed by Mathieu Lamboley (I Kissed a Girl, Minuscule – Mandibles from Far Away , Lolo, Return of the Hero, Odd Job). Lesley Barber (Manchester by the Sea, You Can Count On Me, Mansfield Park, The Moth Diaries) has been hired to score the upcoming Hulu original series Four Weddings and a Funeral. The show is developed by Mindy Kaling & Matt Warburton (The Mindy Project) based on the 1994 feature of the same title and stars Zoe Boyle, Nathalie Emmanuel, Guz Khan, Sophia La Porta, Harish Patel, Nikesh Patel, John Reynolds, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Brandon Mychal Smith. The comedy follows four American friends who reunite for a fabulous London wedding, but – after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil – they must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak. Grammy Award winner and Academy Award nominee Pharrell Williams has recorded an original song for the new Netflix documentary The Black Godfather. The song, entitled Letter to My Godfather, will be released as a digital single tomorrow, June 7 by Epic Records. Click here to download the track and to listen to the full song after the jump. Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the Child’s Play reboot. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day, Outlander). Legacy Recordings has announced a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Stranger Things. The album features 15 classic tracks from the show’s third season and the debut of an original cast recording. The full track list will be revealed after the new season premieres. The soundtrack will be released digitally and physically on July 5 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon (CD version) and here (digital version). A vinyl edition is set to come out on July 26 (click here to pre-order). The label has previously released a soundtrack album featuring the songs from the first two seasons, while Lakeshore Records has released soundtracks featuring the show’s original score. A soundtrack album has been released for the indie drama Mouthpiece. The album features the film’s original music composed by Amy Nostbakken. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Mouthpiece is directed by Patricia Rozema (Into the Forest, Mansfield Park) and stars Nostbakken herself and Norah Sadava (who also co-wrote the screenplay based on their play). The movie follows an aspiring writer who, while struggling to compose a eulogy after the sudden death of her mother, comes to discover that her own rebelliousness is as much a response to the male gaze as her mother’s conformity. The film is written and directed by July and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Gina Rodriguez, Richard Jenkins and Debra Winger. The movie centers on woman named Old Dolio who has her life turned upside-down when her parents invite an outsider to join their biggest heist yet. The track is written by the film’s composer Randy Newman (Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Cars) and performed by singer/songwriter Chris Stapleton. English electronic music artist Rival Consoles has made his scoring debut on the episode Striking Vipers of the new season of the Netflix anthology series Black Mirror. The episode is directed by Owen Harris (Kill Your Friends), written by series creator Charlie Brooker and stars Anthony Mackie, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Beharie, Pom Klementieff and Ludi Lin.
