H. Scott Salinas (A Private War, The Ballad of Lefty Brown, Cartel Land, Birth of the Dragon) is scoring the upcoming Channel 4 series Baghdad Central. The show is created by Stephen Butchard (The Last Kingdom, The Child in Time) based on the novel of the same title by Elliot Cola and stars Waleed Zuaiter, Bertie Carvel, Clara Khoury, Leem Lubany, July Namir, Neil Maskell and Corey Stoll. The 6-part crime thriller is set in 2003 Baghdad after Saddam Hussain has fallen and the Coalition forces want to secure the country and centers on a group of ordinary occupied Iraqi citizens. ‘The Flood’ Soundtrack Released

Milan Records has released a soundtrack album for the British drama The Flood. The album features the film’s original music composed by Billy Jupp. The soundtrack is now available to download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio samples. The Flood is directed by Anthony Woodley and stars Lena Headey and Ivanno Jeremiah. The movie follows a hardened immigration officer who is offered a high-profile asylum case and must uncover whether her client is lying and has a more sinister reason for seeking asylum. Three new movies are opening in theaters nationwide this weekend:
Opening in most theaters is the animated sequel Toy Story 4 directed by Josh Cooley and starring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger and Tony Hale. The film’s original music is composed by Randy Newman (Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Cars, The Natural, Avalon). Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score and two new original songs (including one performed by Chris Stapleton). Click here for the full album details.
Also opening wide is the horror movie Child’s Play directed by Lars Klevberg and starring Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry, Gabriel Bateman and Mark Hamill. Bear McCreary (Godzilla: King of the Monsters, 10 Cloverfield Lane, The Walking Dead, Battlestar Galactica, Happy Death Day) has composed the film’s original score. Composer Geoff Zanelli is reteaming with director Deon Taylor on the upcoming thriller Black and Blue. The film starring Naomie Harris, Frank Grillo, Mike Colter, Nafessa Williams, Reid Scott, Beau Knapp, James Moses Black, Frankie Smith and Tyrese Gibson follows a rookie New Orleans cop who rounds the corner just as corrupt narc officers are murdering a drug dealer, an event captured by her body cam. Lakeshore Records will release a new soundtrack album for the Netflix original series Stranger Things. The album features selections of the original score from the show’s third season composed by Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein. The soundtrack will be released digitally on June 28 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. A physical version is also in the works. The label has previously released soundtrack albums featuring the composer’s score from the show’s first and second season. Legacy Recordings will release a separate soundtrack featuring songs from Season 3 of the series created by Matt & Ross Duffer and starring Winona Ryder, David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Millie Bobby Brown, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Noah Schnapp, Sadie Sink, Natalia Dyer and Charlie Heaton. The full details of the soundtrack album for Pixar’s Toy Story 4 have been revealed. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Randy Newman (Monsters, Inc., A Bug’s Life, Cars, The Natural, Avalon) who previously scored all the previous Toy Story movies. Also included are two new original songs written by Newman: The Ballad of the Lonesome Cowboy (performed in an end credits version by Chris Stapleton) and I Can’t Let You Throw Yourself Away, as well as a new version of You’ve Got a Friend in Me.
