Silva Screen Records will release a soundtrack album for the ITV mini-series Lucan. The album features the original music from the drama composed by Ben Bartlett (Walking with Dinosaurs, The Tunnel, Vera, The Loch). The soundtrack will be released digitally on August 9, 2019 and will be available to download here, where you can also check out audio samples. Lucan is written by Jeff Pope, directed by Adrian Shergold and stars Rory Kinnear, Catherine McCormack and Christopher Eccleston. Singer/songwriter Andy Grammer has recorded an original song for the animated feature Curious George: Royal Monkey. The track is one of five original songs featured in the movie directed by Doug Murphy and starring Frank Welker and Jeff Bennett. Germaine Franco (Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Tag, Dope, Vida) has composed the film’s original score. Deirdre Brenner is producing the Universal 1440 Entertainment and Imagine Entertainment production. Ron Howard & Brian Grazer (A Beautiful Mind, Apollo 13) serve as executive producers. Flight of the Conchords’ Bret McKenzie has composed an original song for James Bobin’s family adventure Dora and the Lost City of Gold. The comedian, actor, producer and songwriter wrote a musical number (Hooray! We Did It) for the movie’s end titles sequence that is performed (on screen) by cast members including Isabela Moner, Eugenio Derbez, Michael Peña, Eva Longoria, Jeff Wahlberg, Nicholas Coombe and Madeleine Madden. The only movie opening nationwide this weekend is the comedy drama Once Upon a Time…in Hollywood written and directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Al Pacino. The film doesn’t feature an original score. Mary Ramos serves as the project’s music supervisor. Columbia Records has released a soundtrack album featuring tracks by Deep Purple, Simon & Garfunkel, Paul Revere & The Raiders Buffy Sainte-Marie & others today. Opening in limited release is the drama Skin written and directed by Guy Nattiv and starring Jamie Bell, Vera Farmiga, Danielle Macdonald, Mike Colter and Bill Camp. Dan Romer (Beasts of the Southern Wild, Beasts of No Nation, Maniac, The Good Doctor, Easy) has composed the film’s original music. No word on a soundtrack release.
