Walt Disney Records has released a soundtrack album for Pixar SparkShorts’ Wind. The album features the film’s original music composed by Andrew Jimenez who previously scored the Academy Award-nominated short Kitbull. The soundtrack is now available to stream and download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Wind is written and directed by Edwin Chang and features the voices of Sonoko Konishi and Emilio Fuentes. The Pixar Animation Studios production focuses on a grandmother and grandson longing to escape an endless chasm, scavenging debris that surrounds them to realize their dream of escaping to a better life. Notefornote Entertainment will release a soundtrack album for the drama The Meanest Man in Texas. The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award nominee Steve Dorff (Growing Pains, Murphy Brown, Blast from the Past, Dudley Do-Right, Major Dad). Also included is the song Grace (Will Lead Me Home) performed by Mary Millben. The soundtrack will be released digitally on March 13, 2020 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Bryce Dessner of the rock band The National has been tapped to score the upcoming comedy Irresistible. The film is written and directed by Jon Stewart and stars Steve Carell, Rose Byrne, Chris Cooper, Topher Grace, Natasha Lyonne, Mackenzie Davis, CJ Wilson and Will Sasso. The movie follows a Democrat political consultant who helps a retired ex-Marine colonel run for mayor in a small Wisconsin town. Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner & Jeremy Kleiner (12 Years a Slave, Moonlight, The Big Short) are producing the Plan B Entertainment production with Stewart and Lila Yacoub (Eighth Grade, Frances Ha). Vegetal has released a soundtrack album for the crime comedy The Jesus Rolls. The album features the film’s original music written by French singer/songwriter and composer Emilie Simon, including the end credits song Always Now. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also listen to audio clips. The Jesus Rolls is written and directed by John Turturro who also stars in the film as Jesus Quintana (which he previously portrayed in the Coen Brothers’ The Big Lebowksi), alongside Audrey Tautou, Susan Sarandon, Christopher Walken, Pete Davidson and Jon Hamm. The film is directed by Edward Hall and stars Dan Stevens, Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher, Judi Dench, Emilia Fox, Julian Rhind-Tutt, Adil Ray, Michelle Dotrice and Aimee-Ffion Edwards. The movie is based on the classic play of the same title by Noël Coward and revolves around a crime author who invites an eccentric mystic to his home in hopes of curing a terrible case of writer’s block he encounters as he tries to finish his first script. The show is based on The New York Times best-selling book of the same name and explores one man’s search for the father who abandoned him, only to uncover the worst: he believes his father is the Zodiac killer, one of the most infamous serial killers in American history. The 4-parter is directed by Kief Davidson (A Lego Brickumentary) who is also executive producing the project with Ross M. Dinerstein (The Innocent Man, 6 Balloons, 1922).
