The 5-track EP features the film’s original music composed by Barney Jones who previously scored the SparksShorts title Smash and Grab. Float is written and directed by Bobby Rubio and features the voices of Rubio himself, Eli Fucile, Luna Watson and Mika Kubo. Universal Music has released a soundtrack album for the Japanese drama Fukushima 50. The album features the film’s original music composed by Taro Iwashiro (Red Cliff, The Crossing, Memories of Murder, Manhunt) and performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra & The Choristers of the Temple Church. The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon, where you can also check out audio samples. Fukushima 50 is directed by Wakamatsu Setsuro and stars Koichi Sato and Ken Watanabe. The movie tells the true life story of workers at the Fukushima Daiichi power plant who, over five desperate days, reined in a nuclear disaster that could have caused the evacuation of Tokyo and other country-crippling damage, following the March 11, 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Silva Screen Records will release a new soundtrack album for BBC’s Doctor Who.  The album features selections of the original music from the show’s twelfth season composed by Segun Akinola (The Last Tree) who previously scored Season 11 of the series. Composer Michael Andrews (Donnie Darko, Neighbors, Me and You and Everyone We Know, Bad Teacher) is reuniting with director Judd Apatow on the upcoming comedy The King of Staten Island. The film starring Pete Davidson, Marisa Tomei, Bill Burr, Bel Powley, Maude Apatow and Steve Buscemi centers on a burnout stuck living with his mom on Staten Island. Apatow (The 40-Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up) and Davidson also co-wrote the screenplay with Dave Sirus. The director is also producing the project with Barry Mendel (The Sixth Sense, Munich). Director Nia DaCosta has revealed in a recent interview with Fandom that experimental musician Robert A. A. Lowe (aka Lichens) is composing the music for the upcoming Candyman sequel. The film starring Tahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and Colman Domingo is based on the Philip Glass-scored 1992 feature of the same title written by Bernard Rose and the short story The Forbidden by Clive Barker and returns to the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood where the legend began. La-La Land Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1992 historical drama Far and Away directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. The album features the remastered and expanded original music from the Universal Pictures release composed and conducted by John Williams (Star Wars, Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Schindler’s List), including previously unreleased tracks from the score and alternate cues.
